new members ???
I won this week and we had fun but there were only three players(jello,parottt and me)
I think we can use some active members and i think the answer to that has to come from your side of the atlantic pool.
From what i hear from you it is even very quit on weekday evenings.
Don't blame me cuz i am asleep when you are having dinner
There are a lot of clannies in my buddylist who i never ever see online (anymore)
Do we have to advertise or what ?

Penni used to put a post on the MTGO message board and get pretty good response. I never use that board so I'm not sure what the protocol is for posting. I assume it's no big deal to start a thread something like "Casual MTGO players wanted".

I am back from 3 weeks cruising with a boat-load of laundry to do and a nice tan. I will respond to the "need new members" thing. I used to put a LOT of time into recruitment when I was playing online in the evenings almost every night. I also had relationships with other clans that got lost over the years. That was then, this is now. I am obviously too busy with real life to do what I used to do. I still get PMs from people asking me about our clan. I PM them back, sometimes even admit them to the clan when I can find them online, then I never see them again. I have a buddy list that is very large, so much so that I delete many of them when I haven't heard anything from them for a while. I sometimes see people that are in our clan online, but they do not attempt to play with us and are doing their own thing, or whatever. The last 10 or 12 people I admitted to our clan disappeared almost immediately. It is discouraging to do the work and have that happen. Sooooooo, what do y'all suggest?

I say if they dont have anything to do with the clan or do not show any sign of showing up they should be removed from the clan. That's the whole point of it to be able to play as one group. If they are active with us they are good clannies. If they show back up and want to play I wouldnt think it's a big deal to rejoin them but the odds of that happening is very sim i think. I need to get back on during the week and play some i've been kinda busy running this one man company up here but i'm going to at least pop back on twice a week.

I checked in Monday and Tuesday night and didn't see anyone online. I was hoping to try the singleton deck I made.
I haven't made a deck for this week since I won't be able to play, and the format was going to make me think too much. I don't have any block specific decks unless I have an old RAV one, but I doubt I even have that.
As far as recruiting new members...maybe we should post something on the WotC board and see who responds. As Penni said the difficulty is meeting up online. I can be online Mon, Tue, and Wed night if I know I need to meet someone. Thursdays I bowl (and drink beer) and Fridays I usually am out drinking beer (but not bowling).

Been getting online just missing ya PH didnt mean to make the format hard.
NO worries on the format jello! I don't buy many cards in from specific blocks so I have to think a lot more to make decks from them! As I said I am going to be out this Sunday anyway. I usually try to make a deck to test the week before, but this week I haven't seen anyone online when I've been on. I was on from about 7:30-9:00 EST last night and didn't see anyone. I log on and leave it up while I do other things since the computer I play MTGO on is in the dining room.

I could post something, but as you know, I am rarely online during the week. If I could give a couple of names (other than mine
) as contacts, that would be nice. And I have cleaned out the clan members a fair amount recently. Anyone that has not been online for a year was kicked. Then, of course, there are quite a few that have been online but do not make any attempt to socialize with us. Perhaps we need to make more of an attempt ourselves. Dunno. And, Brian, you are not even in the active clan. You need to drop your present clan and join the rest of us. That is easily done any time we are both online. I have also thought about the idea of a Facebook page to make it easier to post to each other. Don't know how to do that, tho. Some people are intimidated by the 2old2play website, I think.
I think a FB page would be handy. I don't know how many current clannies are on FB, but I suspect most. I check it daily but don't post stuff all the time. I think I can make a group there fairly easily.
What do others think about that?
Penni, next time we're online you can show me how to drop out of the old clan and join the active one.

Never bothered to make a facebookpage but perhaps its time i got one.
My wife has one and its nice to see her meeting old friends from south africa.

Cute song, FC. I made a 2old2playmtgo group on my facebook, but have no idea what to do with it. I have a few clannies, or ex-clannies, on my facebook. It's nice to be able to keep track of what's going on with them. Brian is always drinking beer at some party or another. LOL I rarely post, either, but I check it every day. Funny. We shall see. Might prove interesting.
