Writing is for folks that can spell and know a thing or two about sentence structure. You misspelled pussies, two of your three sentences were incomplete, and you started the other with a conjunction. I don't feel you're qualified to decide who is or isn't a pussy. You have to pluralize your insults correctly or they just aren't credible.

Merkins speak Merkin not English. Fair enough like, not knocking you for it, but you can't redicule the mother tounge. You want to change it, stop calling it English cheeky

I think he means "ridicule the mother tongue." If he wants to change the spelling he should discontinue calling it English. "Mumblish" may work as a fitting substitute.

Ah mocking the afflicted, damn this site for not defaulting the spell check to on, I mean, really why would you choose to have it off? I am always forgetting, here no wavy red lines does not mean safe to post... angry

As I have said before I am Dyslexic, I simply do not see some errors, my spelling is terrible and I rely totally on spell check to make my posts close to legible, most other sites my browse spell check works, or the spell check is on by default, here neither is true, so sometimes a post gets through unchecked...

Just cleaned up another 4" of wet snow. Same or more due tonight. Early this week we had 2" thoroughly sodden wet stuff that was hell. Looked like nothing until you went to move it. Had to clear it because of freezing temps coming. An acquaintance from work dropped dead from shoveling while I was doing the same. Small amounts of wet stuff are my bain. The blower isn't as effective but you gotta move it or deal with it freezing in.

I like deeper colder snow now that I have a blower. Didn't have one 10 years ago this week when we got +3ft. The drifts were 5ft in my yard.

Ah, ok then, so, wear your glasses while you're driving! I do now...cool No pity for the handicapped, we all have issues. treat 'em all the same, with respect and patience. My wife has a form of dyslexia as well I think. She doesn't speak much of it, but it hampers her reading. That said, she is a stubborn one and manages quite well.

I do not see it as a disability, it has bonuses, nor need pity, but like I say no spell check and my posts will inevitably contain errors and that is just the way it is. I am lucky my reading is unaffected, I love to read and have done for as long as I can remember, I can't imagine life without that. Numbers are my big issue, bloody things will just swim around in my head, not connecting at all, mental arithmetic is just beyond me. I make damn good guesses though, some kind of coping mechanism helps I suppose so I can get close enough to an answer to survive most day to day situations. I had to pass quite a high level maths exam when I went to Uni, as a mature student...Talk about tenacity, man that dominated my life for months and those around me offering help, seeing as I was doing a degree in Music and Media Tech, it was a puzzle why I needed to understand quadratic equations I have to say, long forgotten all that stuff now. But did see what the joy of understanding pure maths could be...Not for me though, just a hoop I needed to get through.

Agree with you there. I do a lot of statistical data crunching for process capabilty, root cause analysis n such and I have to say, math's not my favorite subject. Now, technological advances and software I love! Don't know a thing about 'em, except the stuff I have make's my days easier! laugh

Yeah tech is great, I am at home among cables and wires, connecting this to that and working out the best way to do things. It's fun when folk visit my studio and ask "okay how does it work" Heh, what seems simple to me is actually not so simple as I try to explain the signal paths both real and virtual. I see the eyes glaze over so just let lights flash, and stuff make noises for them. Seems the world of MIDI, ASIO, SoftSynths Digital FX etc is not as interesting for some as it is for me.

My tech is a pen and I use it to write words that piss people off. I don't use it for math because I do all of that in my head. ;)

My math establishes inherent process control for an assembly line so we can reduce our scrap and rework to almost impossibly low numbers and everyone gets a raise.

BTW Jones, I can do what you do with but a finger...cheeky

Not even going to go into the fact that if you write all over your computer screen with that pen, eventually you're going to have issues...

I use math to calculate dimensional weight for freight estimates and for inventory control. I don't really like the people that I work with so I hope that they don't get a raise.

You can get arrested for using that finger.

The ink doesn't stick to the screen very well, but the Liquid Paper is becoming a problem.

Dimensional weight? Pounds per square foot or something? I get that trucks have a weight limit, and a fixed volume.

Packing popcorn doesn't weigh much...and I thought you were in charge of all the shafts? When do you get to work your way up to the balls?

Dimensional weight is applied to our vault pole shipments, not golf shafts. Vault poles, although generally weighing 13 lbs or less, cost a fortune to ship...around $150 each, directly due to dimensional weight. UPS and Fed-Ex won't take them because they are too long, forcing us to use freight lines to ship them, and these freight lines gouge the holy living fuck out of us. As far as packing shaft boxes, we use recycled newsprint, which is biodegradeable, as opposed to styrofoam peanuts, which containe Styrene and do not degrade. We don't have any balls, just grips and shafts...and giant fucking poles. Every facet of my job is some sort of innuendo...I have no idea how customer service keeps it together on the phone.

The studio is a mixture of software and hardware, all communicating together (most of the time) multiple programs operating together exchanging data internally and with external hardware in real time, lot of math going on, none got anything to do with me. Took some putting together and much head scratching and about a hundred different cables. But I have installed much larger installations, the trick here was pulling it off on a much smaller budget and scale, but achieving the same results.

So I have just spent the past ours typing the below up. It a story about a race I did tonight in a Megan TC and on GT6 for the PS3.

Qualifying – 7 Min run alone so no chance to draft down the straight etc. In practise the best I could do was a 1:09.6+. After my first lap I did a 1:09.4xx and I was happy until I looked at my place and I was 3rd!

On lap 3 I got lucky and qualified 1st by 0.2 seconds with a 1:08.9xx. It was the fastest lap I did all night!

The Race.

So sat on the grid and the lights go green. Grim qualified second and was off the line like a scalded cat!

By turn one I was .2 of a second behind him. sad

So we pressed on and I knew I had to keep him in sight and close. I was able to draft him down the long long back and front straight and by the time we got to turn one on the second lap I was only .7 behind.

Mid turn on turn 1 grim touches the kurb and spins big time! I cannot believe my luck so I manage to get pass clean and in front. I look behind in my rear view mirror to see Stevie spin too. At this point I was a bit giddy but knew I had to get my head down and press on.

About half a lap in Stevie played to my weakness and told me no pressure etc so the chat feature went to mute on the main straight ;)

I pressed on for another 9 laps until I pitted for fuel and tyres. At this point I was around 15 – 18 seconds in front of Grim (Who was second). As I was in the pits grim came in.

Got out of the pits on some fresh rubber and a full tank of fuel. 2 laps later I noticed grim was now only 7 seconds behind. In my head I was seriously asking WTF and how did I just lose 9 seconds in a few laps and a pit stop!!!!????

Thinking why this has happened, trying to work this out and not devoting all my attention to the race had an adverse affect on my lap times. I made a few errors too and by lap 19 I was only 3 seconds in front of grim.

In the space of 8 laps I had gone from 15+ seconds in front to nothing!

Anyway lap 20 rolled up and I thought I better get some new rubber as my right front and rear was shot. Grim was so close at this point he hit my bumper on the pit entrance (He also pitted at this time). At this point it hit me!!!

Grim must not have taken as much fuel on board as I did on the first stop so he SHOULD be in the pits longer this time. (I Also got a bit pissed as I shouldn’t have worried about why he was just behind and carried on as normal)

So of we go down the pit lane on the limiter and I hit my booth first. The game recommendes I need 17ltr of fuel but I decided to put in 15ltr to try and get out the pits faster.

Fuel went in, new tyres were put on the wheels hit the ground and I was off.

I get out of the pits upto turn one and Grim is still sat in his booth, I breath a large sigh of relef. By the time we crossed the start finish line on the next lap I was 7 seconds ahead.

So we are now on lap 22 out of 28. I needed to just keep my head down, look forward, don’t worry about the gap and don’t overcook it. The next 4 laps go by and I’m still 7 seconds in front. The giddiness starts to build and I’m looking forward to my first win. Then I look at my Fuel gage...

My heart explodes and the adrenaline goes through the roof. I’m just above the red line with 2 laps to go. I’m not going to make it.

I thought I now have 2 options. I still had my 7 second gap, so do I just continue as normal and get as far as I can and hope I can coast to the finish line when the fuel is out and the 7 second gap is enough to keep me in front.

Or do I drive Eco style.

 I went with the latter.

Trying to drive Eco in a race with less than 2 laps to go and been in front is HARD!!! I was shifting into 6th as much as I could, not getting anywhere near the red line and coasting a lot. Lap 27 was a 1:15 a full 7 seconds off my Qualification time.

By the last lap Grim was not far behind and I knew at any second I was done the win was gone and all because I didn’t put another 2ltr of fuel in.

I was going up the back straight and the car was still going. I thought only 4 more turns and I have done this.

2 turns to go and the car is still going....

1 turn to go and I ease right of...

Around 120 meters to the line the car dies....

I coast over the line for the win.

---------------------------------------------------------------

So after many months I FINNALY got my first ever GT6 Official series win and boy was it AWESOME!

I don’t normally right shit up like this but that race tonight was the most intense and hard win I have EVER raced for on any racing game in my entire racing career of around 18 years.

I painted the wheels on my Maza RX8 and added a nice 3D effect to a HALO logo plate.

I turned all Driving assists back on and tried out Road America.

I felt almost competent. Look out world. Go me.
