http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/update-1-03-january-14th.296016/pa...
Cant wait to see what goodies await. Maybe some "community" features.
GT6 Update v1.03 Coming January 14, Includes BMW M4 Interior
http://www.gtplanet.net/gt6-update-v1-03-coming-january-14-includes-bmw-m4-interior/
Hopefully it will also allow tuning on it
No community features this time. Interior on the M4, a new Toyota concept car and new seasonals.
They might have also fixed the aftermarket wheel glitch with cars that have wider rear tires.
No suspension or drivetrain upgrades for the M4
They did fix a couple of known bugs though
The third update for Gran Turismo 6 is now available, and it brings with it the all-new Toyota FT-1 Concept Coupé, a full interior to the 2014 BMW M4 Coupé, new Seasonal Events, as well as amending the date of availability of the remaining Red Bull X Challenges which now reads “Available in January 2014″.
The update weighs in at a light 99MB, and at the time of this writing the servers are down for maintenance – likely to introduce the new Seasonal Events. Although an official list of changes is not yet available, our community has begun to compile a list of the most apparent fixes:
Unique Seasonal Events, commemorating the 2014 North American International Auto Show are now available featuring the Toyota FT-1 and the BMW M4, with prize cars awarded in both events by achieving bronze or better.
Period of Availability: 1/13/2014 23:00 – 2/10/2014 23:00
Gold: Cr.70,000 Silver: Cr.35,000 Bronze: Cr.15,000
Period of Availability: 1/13/2014 23:00 – 2/10/2014 23:00
Gold: Cr.70,000 Silver: Cr.40,000 Bronze: Cr.20,000
Note, in order to enter the Seasonal Events you must first acquire your National B license.
Be sure to stop by the new GT6 Seasonal Events forum for in-depth analysis and discussion, and tips and tricks.
There is still to be one more update later this month. My guess is around the 31st of January which "should" include some community events but nothing confirmed yet. I ame happy with some of the fixes though
Ran the seasonal with the ft-1 last night, not sure how I felt about it? Looks and sounds cool but handles like an 80s caddy lol very spunggy with a lot of suspension travel, wasn't horrible but from its picture I was expecting a firm sport or racing suspension
m4 interior looks excellent! Tho I wish it was tuneable as it's very understeery on high speed turns which makes it a handful trying to keep a good rhythm through the last turn. Every time I hit the brakes it just lost grip and would slide wide :(
ill give a go again later
Perhaps they will make the M4 tunable soon. Thats the only thing holding it back at the moment. Is the FT-1 tunable? I havent updated yet.
It's not for the time trial and I haven't checked ingame yet
The Ft-1 is fully locked. No upgrades whatsoever
Only for the Seasonal. Once you unlock the car you can adjust the Brakes, big woop! Also if you plan to race it I suggest using Soft Fr. and Hard R. tires to help with the dumptruck push.
That was my thoughts also. That said, I do hope they unlock them at some point. I saw an ingame video of the Ft-1 and the boddy roll was pretty bad from what I could see.
It's annoying that they won't fix the clutch but include stupid seasonal events, nonsense!!
This^^^
I agree that PD needs to fix the clutch, but I would not agree that the seasonal events are stupid. The seasonal events are the primary reason that GT5 had legs for me long before and after Forza 4 was released. Many of us will finish the career events eventually, but the weekly seasonal events will continue to flow and will give us the credits we need to continue to buy the cars we want. There is far less grind in GT5 and GT6 because of the seasonal events. GT5 was released in November 2010 and the weekly seasonal events continue even now, more than three years after release.
For me, they're stupid as long as the clutch is broken! Similar to the difficulty in career mode, it's far too easy and we shouldn't have to waste time adjusting the PI of the cars to get a good race out the AI. Of course, this is purely my opinion but it's hardly "the real driving simulator" without a properly working clutch, unless all the cars are automatics of course.
I only played GT5 for around a month or two, the only reason I bought GT6 is because of 2O4F!! If I was only going to play offline and public lobbies then I wouldn't have bought it.
Hey Mapo,
What's wrong with the clutch?
Just started GT6 yesterday and playing on controller at the moment, but I hadn't noticed any particular issue.
They (PD) did something to the clutch for wheel users (allegedly) as it made them faster off the start line than non clutch users, or something along those lines is what I've read.
If you use the clutch with Fanatec pedals (and the T500 ones I think, but I don't have these to confirm) you more often than not end up with a box full of neutrals, making it all but impossible to use it! To me, it appears that the clutch acts like a switch rather than an axis so that unless you press it down 95% of it's travel, the clutch doesn't activate and it just kicks you into neutral.
Whether PD did this deliberately, or it's a bug or just bad/lazy programming isn't really important, the end result is that unless you're a robot, it doesn't work!
Anyone try the new update? Are there any hidden fixes/changes in there?
Theres no official documentation. The MR and tire width issues are based on what user are seeing in the game play
I use to use the clutch than I stopped because there isn't a game on the market PC or console that has a properly working one plus the fact that my favorite series all use sequential shifting so I found it pointless losing time shifting and the fact I wasn't simulating what I was driving. All you need to do is blip the throttle when shifting in all games. In all honesty I can't even think of a modern series that uses a gated shifter? Maybe historics and the mx-5 cup
The majority of FM and GT use production cars, most of which use the clutch and shifter.
FM clutch always worked flawlessly for me and 80% of the series I've ran in 2OF4 are production car series with manual box and clutch, which is why I enjoy using it, but each to their own I guess!
I tired using the H gate and Sequential shifter when I first got my Fanatec but I just cant mount it in the right place on my rig and have it sturdy. For now the lack of a functioning clutch is not an issue for me with the paddle shifters.
FT-1....Someone need to put a plow on the front and then look for some snow!!

If anyone is having issues installing the patch you must press the X button within 2 seconds of the patch message appearing!
