Lobby Event Settings - Template - Thoughts?
Due to all the features that can be set up for a given event, I thought it might be good to have an Event Settings Sheet that a race organizer can easily use to capture the lobby settings that can be displayed in the event topic here in the forums. This will come in handy should the regular host not be available and someone else needs to host as all the settings will be listed.
Here is my first version of it and would like some feedback on any changes. Should be pretty self explanatory.

I have conditional formating for the cells that are blank to auto change to yellow once you enter in the text. other than that, you should only need to change the color of the cells for the setting you plan to use. Once you finish, you can copy and past the info into the topic. Let me know if you see any issues. Once this is final, we can add it to the Racing Events Subforum.

If it works like I think it works it could be dangerous for those behind the car (especially 2 rows back!). I remember what its like on FM4 when someone is sitting on the grid at a start and a big pile up from behind them because they cant see it

You can save them (up to three) however there is currently no way to share/gift them. That said, there is talk of a large update in January about the ability to share stuff. One can hope cars, tunes, lobby settings are included

One of the cool race options you could do would be to allow for compound changes. You set the limit on the best tire in the lobby (example "Race Soft"). This could be used in such a way to allow you to start the race on the tires you qualified with (such as Racing Soft) and then at your next pit stop you could switch to Racing Hard or vice versa depending on your race strategy.
The only thing I see that is missing is forcing some sort of handicap system on select drivers. You could do weight or power reduction in your car setup but as the host, I cant find a way to verify that they have that setting on their car. It will have to be on the honor system or am I missing something.
Having trouble trying to cut and paste using my iPad. Probably need to use a PC, eh? TBH, I don't know how to. Grim?
Ive only done it on the PC. Select the rows you want and then select Copy
Anyone try the penalty system yet? Remind to Thursday maybe. Primary reason we stopped using it in GT5 is because of the cars ghosting and not knowing when it will happen was very irritatng but other than that it worked half decent. With a few improvements it would be a good system.
Thats another thing I want to try.
What hasn't helped me was the mic issue but now I have one I can talk to you guys and say look I was to try this or that etc.
It was impossible to do anything really but race with out comms with you guys.

Id like to try a race with the Mazda roadster touring car in the rain and another at night. Anyone down? I'm on vacation all week. I'll be around tomorrow night for sure.
I've got the same headsets. They work great for the price.
im happy with them. I had received a Visa gift card dot 50 bucks so I just covered the difference. Sound quality is pretty good. Simple hook up too.
I updated the sheet to work with the new forum editor
Once you paste the table into the Forum, perform the following steps
1 - Highlight all the text in the table and change the font size to 8
2 - Right click anywhere on the table (in the forum editor) and select "Tabel Properties"
- Change table width to 600 and Border size to 2.
I realize its not ideal but it works if anyone is interested
