Lazy Gamers Unite!!!

I feel there should be an achievment, or atleast a support group for those of us that maybe need to catch up on some gaming.  I came to the Xbox360 in 2010 and man there were so many great games already out that I immediately had a back log of games to play.  Then there was new releases during that time that now I'm sitting here looking at my shelf thinking man I really need to get caught up.

I just finished a marathon of playing Mass Effect 1 thru 3.  Playing those back to back was awesome getting to see the story all the way through.

Now here is what I have left to finish:

Red Dead Redemption

Bioshock (all of them)

Deus Ex Human Revolution

Fallout 3, and New Vegas.

Of course I just got the X1 so I'm working my way through Assasin's Creed IV.  Maybe I can form a subgroup here 2Old2Lazy 18

RDR and the Bioshock (haven't played Infinite yet) are both excellent.

I haven't played the others. I tried to get into Fallout 3, but it just didn't grab my attention.

So many games, so little time.

I've got a stack of games to finish on the 360. I have been plowing through the Assassin's Creed games so I can play IV on the One. But damn if Forza 5 isn't getting in my way. I haven't liked a racing game in ages and this one has sucked me in.

I kicked ass this year and added about 40K gamerscore.  Completed 30 games to 100% GS.

Still have some things I'd like to finish, but I feel a lot better about my backlog now.  I was trying to get as much done as possible before the X1 came out.

All those games you have listed are amazing. You have many weeks of gaming ahead of you. Add the Witcher 2 to that list also.

You should read the books. They are amazing and I am not into fantasy. They were written in the 90's and are still extremely popular in Europe. They haven't been all translated into english but there are fan translations avaliable for free. A couple of the books have been translated and are avaliable on Amazon.

I can't wait for Witcher 3 on next gen, should be AWESOME!

You can probably flick Fallout Vegas off your list there if you're pressed for time.  Fallout 3 was awesome, but Obsidian did Fallout Vegas and it was a shadow of the game that Fallout 3 was.

RDR was an amazing sandbox game.  The bioshocks were all excellent although the 1st and 3rd are really the better of the series, you could skip 2 again if you're pressed for time.  2 was OK but it wasn't the original team and it's just not as good as the 1st and 3rd installments.

Disagree with you here.  New Vegas' story and characters were much more intruiging than Fallout 3's.  Fallout 3 had the better environments but I found its story dull and boring.

I'm with Tank on this one, I like Fallout 3 better. Gimme my Bobbleheads and you can keep your Cazadores.

I don't know. I enjoyed New Vegas. If the game wasn't so painfully easy on the hardest level I might have actually completed it.

Bunch of rookies. Heres Parcells contribution, or lack thereof...

1) GTA V - played 3 hours day of release, nada

2) Halo 4 - played 1 hour after release, nada

3) Skyrim - about 3/4 way through main, doing very well here

4) Mass Effect 1 - a third of main left, ME2 & ME3 sitting unopened.

5) Halo Reach - about a third left

6) Call of Duty - Black Opps - played about 2 hours after release, nada

7) Fallout 3 - about one hour into campaign having just left the vault

8) Gears of War - Played a few hours co-op, nada

9) Half Life - have 2-3 episodes on the Orange Box collection, played maybe 2 hours

Feel free to crown me the champion now

I liked bioshock 2 specially the DLC minerva's den. I thought Fallout NV has better RPG elements and story than Fallout 3 but I like both of them.

Cannot wait for the Witcher 3. That game looks and I am sure will be amazing.

My 2 cents..... Fallout Vegas had better controls. Fallout 3 had a better story

Also, Fallout 4.....in MA?????

Quote:
It was over a year ago that we heard rumors that Fallout 4 would be set in Boston. Of course, at that time, even the very existence of Fallout 4 wasn’t confirmed, nonetheless where it would be located. But wonder no more, because not only is Fallout 4 real, but it is, indeed, set in Massachusetts.

Word comes by way of Kotaku, which acquired leaked documents associated with the game’s voice acting casting call. Interestingly, the documents reference a project code-named Institute; the word “Fallout” never actually makes an appearance anywhere. But the contents of the documents make it quite clear what game is being referenced.

For instance, the beginning of one page starts with “War. War never changes,” perhaps the single most well-known line in the Fallout series. It discusses the main character’s great great-grandfather, who served in the army in 1945. Expecting that the bombs that ended World War II would be a harbinger of absolute atomic warfare, the narrator expresses surprise that it took until the 21st century for the world to end in nuclear fire.

Another document makes reference to the Commonwealth Minutemen. In Fallout lore, the Commonwealth is the post-apocalyptic name of Massachusetts (and perhaps the greater New England) area. You can find the full details of the leaked documents on Kotaku.

After a couple of years of rumors, including a reference from a voice actor earlier in 2013, a trademark for Fallout 4 in Europe, and even a website that ended up being a hoax, it’s awesome to know that Fallout 4 is, indeed, quite real.

Who’s developing it, of course, is another question. Bethesda owns the Fallout name, so we know who’s publishing it, and chances are that Fallout 3 developer Bethesda Game Studios – best-known for The Elder Scrolls series – is the obvious candidate. Nonetheless, we’ve reached out to Bethesdsa for comment, and will update when we hear back.

New Vegas rewarded players with balanced perks when they leveled up and had a better selection of weapons and ammo types, Fallout 3's perks were almost broken. New Vegas had better gameplay, Fallout 3 wins on story. Players are going to favor the game that provides them what they value more...I value immersion in my RPGs.

as someone who just recently finished F3 and almost 100% it, the story sucked.  The world was interesting but there was nothing compelling about it.

Neither game is going to win literary awards. The same holds true with Elder Scrolls: is Oblivion better than Skyrim? Neither one has a particularly compelling storyline, but I have sunk hundreds of hours into each one. Although Oblivion is the only game I have ever completed 100%, I still like Skyrim better. I would not expect everyone to agree with that statement, but I think the majority of RPG lovers will agree that Bethesda makes some pretty good games.

sure but at least the side stories in Oblivion/Skyrim were good.  F3's were not.  I have done all achievement related quests, too.

Nope...Oblivion/Skyrim side stories all sucked. They're all "Sarcasmo, I left my precious lute in cave full of trolls" or  "Archmage Jones, in order to save Skyrim you have to read this scroll while covered in magic moths." Cornball fetch quests designed to waste my time...nothing compelling about them, but at least the game was interesting to look at.

I think the only thing I can remember finding that was usable over the stuff I crafted was a set of Ebony plate armor that was awesome for sneaking. It was on some daedric quest. That was about it... It didn't really work for my play style which was essentially "run over and bash <target> with mace". Although, once I got that armor it became more like "pick off all minions with bow and then run over and bash <big target> with mace".

The important thing was that I didn't have to chase after people as they ran from me.

Yeah, I was just ribbing ol' Shadow. I'm currently on my 4th playthrough and, according to Raptr, have 893 hours invested in Skyrim alone. My plan was to run through once as each race, but the game is too big and that's just not going to happen. I may pick it back up one day...I picked up Fallout 3 on the cheap and playing it right now, in between other games I have committed to, and it feels fairly fresh. I kinda fucked up the story line by running straight for Rivet City for the Intelligence Bobblehead so I'm just exploring locations one at a time. I'm going back to Rivet City and putting slave collars on all those mouthy jerks...have fun in Paradise Falls!

I've been focusing on finishing GTA V for the last few days.  So much to do so little time.  Now with Titan Fall coming in March and Elderscrolls Online in April I need to find a job where I get paid to sit at home and play games :)
