ARMA 3 Mods etc.
ARMA 3 Mods etc.
I've been playing a lot of ARMA 3 lately. Here are some mods worth checking out if you have the game :)
1) King of the Hill - super fun 3 giant teams battleing out for control of a city (works on a ticket system where when you are in control of the city your tickets count up until you hit 200 or 300 for the win). Has a persistant leveling system (you gain xp and money for playing) each time you spawn you have about 8 different merchants which can sell you goods (weapons, ammo, vehichles, perks (specs), etc.). The persistant leveling/xp/money exists even after you leave the game. Super good time.
2) Wasteland - kind of DayZ without the zombies. You are trying to survive surrounded by other mercenaries. There are vendors selling various things, vehichles that need repairing and fuel that you can seek out. You can choose to be on a team or work independently. I was on a server with 84 players last night....I got my poop pushed in as an independent.
3) Breaking Point - more like DayZ - includes Zombies. I have been fighting to get this one installed properly so I'll give an update when I get it working but from what I gather it is a very DayZ like experience (survival versus zombies, nature and other players).
That's about it so far.
I have the game but I have barely played it. I need to play it more and maybe play with some of the mods as well. Once my BF4 addiction is cured, I wil be able to play this and other games more.
I've seen you playing Assetto Corsa lately - how is it? I haven't hooked my wheel up in quite some time. I don't have BF4 yet but I want to pick it up.
It is really good. It is an early access game right now so it doesn't have anywhere near full functionality as the final product. Currently, there are only a handful of cars and tracks to race on and no multiplayer or racing against AI, but the driving physics (at least based on my opinion from limited playing in the genre) and graphics are really good. They are going to update the game every week or two, so more will be added as it progresses.
BF4 is definitely worth picking up as well but there are a few bugs they have to fix, particularly with the game crashing. Patches to fix it are due out soon.
I don't have the game , but I might check out Breaking point when I get it.. Is it online or offline?
Breaking Point is online only - persistant world PVP and PVE mixed ala DayZ
All man!
