I want team armour colours dropped

One of Halo's defining attributes is that opposing teams have differing colours covering most of the body armour. Those colours normally being red and blue. Yet in spite of that, successive Halo titles have increased the amount of custom armour and colour.

I ask, what is the point of unique personal  armour colour if the only place you can see it is in Free for All play? I am disappointed everytime I see someone and one of their uniquly selected identities are thrown away in favour of being a red or blue blob.

I'd like to see team colours go away and team ID be a simple defining icon and colour that only appears when in range of a sighted weapon and pointed at the player. We practically have this now so why not go all the way with the armour colour?.

Agreed. In fact, I say team colors are discrimitory. These "pro" sports teams that have to wear the same color to find their teammates in the heat of battle - noobs. Let them play in street clothes and make them figure it out.

Also, I don't like the fact I have to wear armor at all. I'd rather have some Master Chief pajamas and bunny slippers. All that armor is heavy and too damn hot to wear - much less Sprint in. Oh and it's impossible to swim in that stuff too.

Yeah, keep going.  Offer more customization.  I'd like Master Chief in a white suit and a chef hat.

It would probably help the population. I've said it before, it would still be Halo. If all FPS titles played essentially the same, the only big difference would be the theme. People would still pick a favorite theme.

The world won't stand still. Even for Halo.

Probably no need to be concerned. It is just me musing about what suits me. I doubt It'll ever pass the muster. I'd like to see it as an option in Customs though. Trouble with that possibility is that the current engine is coded around colour and not Player ID + Team ID. I read that not too long ago. So to get it in Customs, the engine has to allow for it first.

Seriously.  I think you might like Call Of Duty.  Have you tried it?

I've already told you I have liked COD. It's the Halo Universe I like better and that keeps me in Halo. Human on Alien is the norm for campaign and even some in MM, excepting CE and Halo 4.

hopefully this doesn't get lost in the long long list of things that need to be done to make Halo 5 worth buying.

I think that would be the offical, "Jumping the Shark" point of no return.

Optional forced team colours could be a micro transaction DLC. ;)

With that being said, I don't see why it couldn't be an option to make your teammates all appear in a certain color (within reason).

I think in Halo 2 you could at least have your secondary color on your player. I do agree with you Deep what's the point of customizing you player if you just turn blue or red. I know most older games don't care, but the younger crowd loves this stuff and its the little things like this that can make a big differance.

the younger crowd thinks they're all special snowflakes and they need to have unique personalization on everything.

On a side note, remember when emblems where cool. You could really see it on your spartan and in Halo 2 it was your waypoint. That shit was cool bring that back too.

Now you can hardly see your emblem and the emblem options don't seem as good as in other games.

When it comes to players I routinely play with, I can tell them apart. This is especially true in Grifball, as there are only a few I play with often.

The principal reason I prefer Halo to COD is different team colors.  My visual discriminatory skills go tits up when I play COD.  Everything looks like mud to me and that reticule cue just isn't enough.  I just shoot everything everytime I play.

I like my enemies in primary colors.

I was into Rainbow Six Vegas for awhile. In that game you could pick from all kinds of cool armor and you could even put your face on your player. They would use big green and red way points to distinguish enemies. You would think the waypoints would get in the way, but it never did and it was really cool to decorate your player.
