I preordered the xbox one and I am super excited for it. I'm tired of all this whining. Buy a pS4 already and shut up.
This.
All this talk will not change anything because as someone stated before kids will be falling over each other to buy this.
That in turn make MS shit loads of cash they see it as good and carry on. If you are that unhappy with MS buy a PS4. No one cares if you do hopefully it will stop you moaning like fuck.
I for one will be buying an X1. My reason. Car Porn:
Henry Ford: "If I'd asked customers what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse."
I don't think slamming Microsoft for leading is reasonable - after all the high speed internet and no dial up modem in the Xbox shows it can succeed. They aren't just making another video game console, shinier graphics, and calling it a day. They're looking to the future, and future proofing their system.
There's more information we want and more will be told. I like progress and innovation, can't say I'd rather play 8 bit games forever or ride a horse on the freeway. That's just me, and obviously change is quite a trial for some. A bit of uproar now for greater success later.
You know whining about whining is still whining? Just saying
This. And some of my really good friends are jumping in here to bitch about people bitching. I don't get it. I don't give two shits about bacon...I'm not going to the bacon thread to say "STFU ABOUT BACON!" So why go to threads about people being unhappy with consoles and tell them to shut it?

Easy on the bacon though.
Because I like the new xbox and I want to bitch about something, geesh you'd think people have cornered the market on whining...

Yeah, the family plan will save money in a hurry for me. Far more than a discout console would.
PS4 offers the same. You only need 1 plus account on the system in order for all accounts on the system to be able to play online.
Sony Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida has been giving little gifts of gaming joy on Twitter since the Sony E3 press conference, revealing that video services will not be locked behind PlayStation Plus and that only one PS4 account needs to be a subscriber in order for every user to gain online multiplayer access.
In response to a question on Twitter that read, "Will Netflix, Hulu etc. be behind the PS+ paywall on PS4?" Yoshida replied simply with, "no". So that's that then. The only change to PS+ is online multiplayer, and nothing else.
But those who share a PS4 with family and friends will be able to spread the benefits with only one PlayStation Plus subscription. When asked, "If i buy a playstation plus membership to play online will the other accounts on my ps4 be able to play online?" Yoshida responded, "yes".

Cool, but not what I was talking about at all.
What about multiple PS4s?
The family plan works across ANY Xbox One console. My games and my family games can be played from any Xbox One. It doesn't mean the whole family needs to crowd around a PS4.
That's the difference, and that's what will save money while allowing multiple consoles and multiple people to play.

oh good you've found the multiple console / playstation plus on the PS4 not working on multiple consoles article. It's good having an internet librarian here :) can you send me a link to that. thanks
If M$ is trying to lead the way to help devs/pubs to get the funds not available to them due to 3rd party sales (like Game$top) than I'm all for it despite the small restrictions M$ is posing. Digital ownership simply is the future. I know I'm goin g to go on a bit of a tangent here but I feel it's a good example of what the future holds.
Self-driving cars will be developed and sold because people can't seem to stop playing with their phones while driving, running a higher risk of hurting someone else. Obviously insurance companies can't do much about it, which puts that prospect entirely in the car companies hands.
You as a person may not be doing this, but if the rate of car accidents where a cellphone is involved is higher than accidents caused by drunk driving.

Apparently Sony is also covering their asses about their previous console not coming with a headset, stand and charging cable (didn't know for certain if it did)
Since you've announced that the servers for the 360 are being disconnected, are you looking/preparing at the backlash you're likely to get from the 360 owners who can't play online?
Wait, when are Xbox 360 servers being disconnected and how will that play out with them having a new model, and new games until at least 2017?
Also, that cord that goes in your ear looks awful. I'm sorry, but I'm glad to be done with inline controls, don't like earbuds, and didn't want a mic in the cord either. Its an absolutely minimum use thing to do a very basic task while encouraging peopel to go buy a headset or anything else.
Considering the games on both Xbox 360, PC, and Xbox One that have already stated they will use the cloud for processing and multiplayer, it became extremely easy for me to figure that means they will all use the same Xbox Live.
On PC this may mean a form of games for windows becoming just an Xbox Live game.
Since gamertags and xbox live subscriptions work the same on both, why would part of the service be shut down at all?
BlowMonkey, that's still not what I am talking about with that comment. The family bit on Xbox allows up to 10 people to play from each others games on any Xbox.
That is different than both companies allowing anyone access to games and network stuff on one single console.
I'm not disagreeing with the ps4 single console stuff, I'm trying to express something else that seemed to have been overlooked when you first replied about something unrelated.
If there is an article or whatever to address some point I wasn't making, feel free to find it. I didn't claim what you just said, and was talking about something different the entire time.
Indeed not, it seems whining is well whithin the remit of many. Glad you like it, I like the PS4 so we're both happy...happy days something for everybody
My apologies, I had read somewhere that they were taking it offiline maybe 3-4 years from now, possibly sooner. But apparently that was the Xbox because of the major changes between Live then and Live now.

They said "support" as in put new games out for, until 2017.

Amen.
There Goes MS again... trying to set a "standard" when it's not what the consumer wants, nor needs.
MS did / does this with Windows now, MS does this with Internet Explorer and Web Standards...
They like to do things their way, and believe everyone else should follow. Sometimes, it works, most times it doesn't.

Gamers Without Internet Can Stick With Xbox 360, Says Microsoft
“We have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it's called Xbox 360.”

I'm excited that the One will let you 'family' anyone to share a cloud game with.

"headset" LOL
However, three pole should mean my Astros work with it so that's a plus!!!
console stand, meh. Mine will be in a cabinet.

If anything I see the Xbox Live service on 360 improving. More cloud stuff and hopefully the dedicated servers that come with it.
Parcells heard through the grapevine I can score some bacon in this thread....just tell me what I need to do and quickly.
