It's not intentional, OldSchool. The whole Fanatec wheel question regarding the new XBox will definitley play a factor in when or if I pick up the new system. Even though I'm trying to stay relaxed about the whole thing I'm anxious to have this question answered.

Yes thats the one , why not use the fanatec wheel . So if that's the wheel the developers are using for forza5 and if that wheel is used on the xbox 360 then the fanatec wheels should work.
Best guess is T10 has various 360 wheels lying around. The video producers saw that one and shot it for B-Roll footage without paying any attention to the make/model of the wheel. From the pic it looks like it's mounted sideways on a bookshelf.
Not holding my breath but hoping we'll have some answers at E3.

I've watched it 3 times and I'll probably watch it many more times. The map of the Prague track is interesting. I wonder what those circles around the track are?
The photos of the BMW in the garage with damage are interesting as well.
this clip is textbook T10: raise more questions rather than answer the ones that everyone is asking. They talk about how important satisfying the community is but provide no details about what is new. It's almost like I would have rather NOT seen it.
I agree Oldschool. They talk about the features players want. Yeah, bitches, more tracks! Every other post on the fm.net forums is about more tracks, WTF! The most requested has to be Bathurst. Get it in the game!
Anyway, in this shot the first panel interests me. I see that the temp is shown as "warm", then the next two appear to say "SPRNG" and "HAZY", then ther are the last three black cubes...
The first one has the number 45 but I'm not sure if its a % sign after it. The next cube looks like it says the temp is 57 degrees. The last one is simple..it's 9am.
If it says 45% then what the hell could it mean? Is that reference to weather? Can't be...
That's what I thought too, Humidity. I just wonder if it plays into the track conditions at all.
it sounds like T10 had access one of the first dev kits for this new machine. Makes sense, they are a MS owned studio. Hope that means they really learned to push its limits.
I doubt it. New system combined with a firm deadline would work against that. I just hope they pushed it far enough out the gate. I truly hope they were on it while 4 was being completed, but who knows?
I was trying to read what that panel was to the right of the damage one, and I can't make it out...
To be honest I'm not too awful impressed with the video. I've played Forza since FM1 so I know how far they've come, and it's alot. But show us the future, not the past you dicks. Oh and the "Orange Peeling" in my eyes is a total dick move. I want to be able to turn even cosmetic damage off, so I don't fuck up my all too perfect drift paint. Like I said, dick move. As for if this video will sway me to buy a new system because of this game, no. Not too convinced it's worth it yet.
Also I wouldn't mind seeing smoke and damage being like Grid 2 or better. Seeing as they are shooting for the new console, why not upgrade those aspects too?
Personally I think that there are other things in the game that need work prior to making imperfections in a cars paint job. I won't complain as long as they fix the damage physics and tire smoke. But I guess they are the creators, salesmen, and executioners.
This is what I would rather see than flaking paint:
This one?

Video seems to skip from 8:51 to 8:53.
Saw this at the 8 minute mark. It this what you're referring to?
Nevermind. Did some investigating over on FM.net. It's just the Mad Catz wheel for the 360.

Shaggy, quit pickin' on Inky!
Someone should warn Gizzie not to view this video; It shows the old NY track and that will only upset the poor bugger.
Alot of talk about new ideas ect
I just hope these inclued stuff drivers really want.

Im gonna go watch it again...gif)
Yeah, the only thing I heard was "we're gonna show the imperfections" WTFR? Like I want orangepeel on my 67 Vette?
What the hell are they drinking? Douchebags.
Hey, we got this new system with alot more muscle, what should we...I know, orangepeely paint! Dumbasses...
This is the shot I'm talking about:

BASTARDS!!!
I hate to say this, but could it be humidity?
That's an awesome shot of their storyboards and layout of what they're doing, but I can't read hardly any of it!!! Argh!
Do not know what the circles are about, but here's a guess, camera placement?

Cameras.
Your other right...
It goes Prague, Cameras, Damage, and then there's a 4th panel to the RIGHT...---->

yeah I agree, that videos not showing me much of anything except a bunch of nostalgic guys NOT showing me new stuff...

Is it only me that thinks he used the paint flake as an example for how close to real life the game will look?
I wouldn't mind seeing some imperfections on the cars. I like to think it adds a character especially the older ones.
