I read the article last night and it made a lot of sense. One salient point that came out of the article was that M$, and to some extent, Sony, are looking past the hardcore gamers that they typically called out to during prior console launches and are instead looking to the masses.
What the article talks about is the promotion of features. During past console launches, it was all about the hardware and how that hardware is going to allow us to play mindblowing games. This launch, however, has a lot of features, including the TV stuff and the Kinect angle, that are less about games and more about other entertainment, including movies, TV shows and music.
Cede control to another player? So I can team up with, Lawyer for example, and switch the car over to him in an endurance race. Maybe in the middle of a pit stop? Imagine that..
not sure if I like my console talking to me though.
Handing control over would be epic for Forza. We could do some real endurance events :)
Imagine that. A six hour event, three driver teams with two hour stints per driver. It would be perfect if teammates could spectate/ spot for the driver via an app up to the point where they would need to get in the car for their stint. That's the kind of shit that is possible! Will it be done? I don't know but it would be cool as shit.

Been possible with rF1 for years but admittedly slightly buggy, will be fully implemented in rF2.
On the wheel thing, try to buy an Elite now, go to the Fanatec site and see how far you get...That does not look great now does it. I suspect production is switched to an XB1 compatible wheel.

why do people waste their fucking time with repeating the same points?
All I really want to know is, come the time, who can I rely on to provide a reliable assessment of FM5 and whether it is any good, from a switch on and play racers perspective. That invalidates 99% of review sources.
I'll even backtrack on the whole fanatec thing. If fm5 is great, I'll drop the cash on a new fanatec, and use my elite to venture into some lower end PC racing.

Wheels I'm sure there will be different launch bundles, so I would say yes you could get it with the console.
