At the beginning of the year, certainly no one. However as the year progressed and the young Wildcat team didn't gell, certainly more than in the beginning of the year. Then after Noel's injury, a lot of people began thinking the NCAA tourney was out of reach. THEN UK won against Flordia and our hopes rose again, and then immediately took a nose dive when UK lost to Vandy in the SEC Tournament.
I am a die hard UK fan. I have been since I moved here to Kentucky in October 1989. At that time UK was on probation for recruiting violations and other infractions. So, I have seen the worst and jumped on with them during the worst. I have been through the good times in 1996, 1998 and 2012. I have also been through the rougher times with them, with the "shot heard around the world" (By the way: I STILL hate fucking Christian Laitner!!!!!). I have been through the even rougher times of missing the tournament in 2009 and being a #4 seed in the NIT. I've seen it all. Thankfully we as Wildcat Nation can point to the last three years and say this:
2009 - 2010: NCAA Elite Eight (35-3, 14-2 in Conference)
2010 - 2011: NCAA Final Four (29-9, 10-6 in Conference)
2011- 2012: NCAA Champions (38-2, 16-0 in Conference)
If you told me that we would be to an Elite Eight, Final Four and then National Champions in three years after the Tubby Smith era and the utter failure of Billie Gillespie, I would have been overjoyed and told you that is shooting for the stars and probably out of reach. And then you said: That'll really happen, and then in 2012 - 2013 you'll lose your star player with 8 games left in the season, and UK will play in the NIT and lose to Robert Morris in the first round, I would have taken it all. Most true fans will around here. We realize that the team didn't belong in the NCAA tournament this year. We also realize that possibly the greatest recruiting class ever to grace college basketball is coming to UK next year with a very successful coach in Coach Cal. So let the nay sayer's piss on us while we are down for the year, we'll be back next year and we will remember it all. EVERY great college baskeball team has down years. Look at UNC and their program there for a while. They went to the NIT in 2002-2003 and 2009-2010. Oh yeah... UNC won the Championship in 2008. So it happens. Championship teams lose badly in the next year and miss the NCAA Tournament. The mark of a great program? When they pick themselves up, dust themselves off and fucking crush the assholes that kicked them while they were down the previous year. And I am looking forward to that next year with their #1 Recruiting Class (which is how many in a row now for Coach Cal at UK?)
(By the way: I STILL hate fucking Christian Laitner!!!!!).
Not surprisingly (GT) Parcells favors coaches over teams and I'm a huge Coach K fan and remember that shot like yesterday but I agree that Laitner is a dick!
If you want to witness real NCAA hatred go visit the Duke/UNC forums...those poeple are truly hateful towards each other, its hilarious.
No I think I can skip the vileness of the UNC/Duke forums and the ilk that troll them looking to piss other fans off. I can only imagine the 10 year old filth that comes out of it. I am sure it rivals CoD online and the 10 year olds who find it abosolutely necessary to fill the room with their vile that dribbles out of their mouth into our headsets. BUT... as we all (the ones who watch college sports or are knowledgable about the Duke/UNC rivalry) know that isn't a stretch of the imagination by any means.
On another note... there has been some GREAT games today, with Marquette/Davidson ranking at the top of the heap right now. Davidson gave that game away to Marquette, and REALLY choked at the last possible minute to let Marquette come back and win by 1 point.

also watched this, unbelievable choke by Davidson (albeit great shooting/play by Marq) very shocking to me but is why we watch. Gonzaga seems to have their hands full.
Parcells dont visit the Unc/Dke forums (ever) but a guy I work with is showing/telling me about it all the time.
hey there peeps, i'll be laying low for a couple of days. i had shoulder surgery this morning and its gonna be tough to drive fast. I'm right handed and its my right shoulder. Fingers are all working but feels a bit weird. See you guys later

And you two are our leaders? I dont know what kind of example you're trying to set around here but Parcells was just trying to make Shootemup feel involved during his troubling times. You make it sound like Parcells has some ulterior motive. Nothing could be further from the truth
Just ringing in at the recommendations from SuperNovaDave and DSeeker34. No aids (except clutch), controller driver (I know, not THE way to race). Likes long stints; takes me about 5 laps to warm up by brain.
Looks like I've gotta clean up my friends list to make some room . . .

Ah ha! That's because I am in [DBBQ] car club with D Seeker34, Sroth88, aquiel2k, and derekthetree. We like to harass derekthetree because he is a brit. Then there's hot shot SuperNovaDave who likes to race with us to keep us humble.
Hi there! New to 2o4f but been playing Forza for a while (also GT5). I'm in the DBBQ F4 car club and race usually with the NA guys which just joined this community. I race with a wheel and pedals, with the controller I'm really bad. I try to join some events ASAP.

I'll aslo offer my services as a driving instructor. Let meknow if you're interested & we'll get you whipped into shape.
Welcome aboard aquiel. If your Thursday evenings are free we run an eastern time zone friendly GT5 session every week. Theres a thread under the race series and events sub forum with the details but just showing up covers 98% of what you need to prepare for.
Names Chris, 27. I live in Essex, England with my girlfriend and have been gaming for over 20 years starting with the C64 and working my way up.
As stated in the other thread, due to work, gym & spending time with the girlfriend I find it hard to be on at specific times so I usually have to take my game time as and when I can get it but when I'm on Forza I do love a bit of hot lapping/ rivals...... Chasing down people's ghosts :)
Although I very rarely run with a setup as I know nothing about tuning a car.
Gaming is probably my main hobby but I do like to watch Motorsport.... MotoGP, Superbikes, F1 as well as Motorcross, speedway, NASCAR, Touring cars when I see them on the TV but the first 3 are the ones I make a point of following.... Especially MotoGP. I also go to the MotoGP race each year as well as some of the Superbikes when I can.
Feel free to add me if you would like some lap times to laugh at....... GT is Acolyte N5 :)

While you're resting that shoulder would you care to race for some cold hard cash?
Parcells, always the supportive type.
Like an old lady's bra or pantyhose.
