Batman Death of a Family (Jokers Return to Gotham)
Are any of you guys reading this right now? So far this has to be one of my favorite Batman stories, with 2 issue tie-ins for Nightwing, Batgirl, Detective comics, and Batman and Robin. The joker returning after having his face cut off, has been quite exciting with the final issue coming up. There's supposed to be a major death in the Batman world, no ones for sure yet, it's been leading us in Alfred's direction since issue 1. Joker claims he knows the identity of the Bat family, and swears to kill every single one.
Batman is starting to learn what really is behind the Joker's motivations all these years, and just what his connection is to the Joker emotionally. It's been severely twisted and dark, and frantic with every issue leaving me wanting more. The issue following the end of the arc is previewed on the DC site, showing Batman going off the deep end from the consequences of this arc, so I just can't wait. I've been trying to avoid any leaks and spoilers.

Wow, for such a big event(24 issues) it had a really crappy ending, nothing changed at all. The artwork and storytelling up to the final issue was amazing though, and Joker has never been more disgusting looking. The viewpoint of a Batman/Joker romance was interesting too.. not sexual of course, but it was more of a.. do these to have a hidden love for one another in the sense of purpose. A lot of people were confused by the ending, but after reading it twice, I don't get how they could be, I don't really have any questions at all regarding the storyline, and that bums me out..
Anyone else read this storyline? What were your thoughts?
