LSAT LMG

Decided to mix things up tonight and load up an LMG.  I picked the LSAT, mainly because the blue bullets look cool.  I'm glad I did as this gun really worked well for me.  It's very accurate and has great iron sights.  I'm not sure if I'll even put an attachment on it.  We were playing a lot of Domination on Ground War and this is a perfect gun for holding down an area.   I know SMGs are the shit in this game but do yourself a favore and give this gun a try.

The lsat is the gun that digital tears up with. I have tried it and really enjoy it on domination where people like to line up on my screen. It is awesome with and without a sight.

It's definitely a defensive weapon.  You move like you have a load in your pants with the gun.  I had great success with it in a Domination game on Turbine.  I'd hang up to the left of the plane between B and C and hold that area.  We had 2 guys holding inside the plane.  If one died, they call out and I'd rotate in.  Or if there was pressure on C, I'd move back up and help cover it.  (Teamwork in COD?  That's Unpossible!)

The LSAT was a great weapon to use to hold that area.  Very hard hitting (4 bullet kills) and very accurate.

Currently Playing:

It is a great LMG.  I use it with FMJ, Fore Grip, and Target Finder.

It is down right dirty with the Target Finder.

A different set up I do is LSAT w/ Grip and Target Finder, then MK48 with Grip.  The reload is a bitch so I just switch to another LMG.

If you use Flack Jacket, Toughness, and Tac Mask you become a juggernaut and there is not much to get you.  I have held the B flag on sums and nuketown for a long time with that set up (until the spawns flip or a connection interruption)

FYI Tip: if you hold a point like B on nuketown where you are on or real near the flag, all your kills count as defends which grant extra score.  extra score + hardline = high kill streaks quickly.

I loved LMGs in Blops 1.  They weren't always practical, but when they were it was incredibly fun sitting back and sending massive amounts of bullets down range.  In the new game they are almost never practical.  The maps, shooting lanes, and spawns almost require a more nible weapon.

But it is still fun having a massive clip capbable of pinning down or taking out large numbers of enemies.  You just need to be more selective of when you decide to run with an LMG.  Ideally you need to be playing with a team that watches all available routes, doesn't flip spawns, and notifies you when the enemy breaks through and could flank you.  It is also important to keep half an eye on the mini map so you can see for yourself where enemies might try to go.  With a good team and some map management you can really cause some damage when locking down a lane or an objective point.

Like Cerb I prefer FMJ and the target finder.  Sometimes cover seems inconsistent.  I've been killed by silenced SMGs at range through 2 walls but been unable to penetrate seemingly thin cover with a powerful AR.  FMJ can help alleviate some of that consistency.  And since Blops 2 is a game where fractions of a fraction of a second count the target finder can help you pick out an enemy just a bit quicker.  But I like the attachment that helps you raise the gun quicker as I don't always want to stare down my sights, especially when using an obtrusive target finder.

The LSAT is good in these perfect conditions, but really any LMG would be beastly at these times.

The LSAT is my bitch. We merk little kids and make them go cry to mommy. I use it for every game type and rarely go negative and rack up on defender points.

I have found that I do better with it with no attachments at all. It is the best weapon for holding down B, it also makes a awesome anti sniper weapon. I can't tell you how many bush wookies I have killed with that thing.

If you want to have some fun with it throw a silencer on it. It keeps it from rasing up and while you will loose some range, on smaller maps it is deadly.

My perks with it are Flak Jacket, Toughness, Dexterity most of the time.

just an fyi, fmj doesn't increase the power of a gun, it only doesn't decrease the power of the gun when you shoot through object like brick or walls....but not boxes. boxes in this game are somehow bullet proof.
