Question for WSP Users
Question for WSP Users
Hi,
So I've got my new WSP and my chair. I've not received my pedals and wheel yet but have tested my seating position etc and feel that my WSP will require an angled pedal to ensure I get a correct and comfortable seating position while driving.
Can anyone recommend and off the shelf bracket type thing that I can buy from a local hardware store etc that will allow me to directly connect my CSPV2 wheels to the WSP at an angle.
im assuming an "L" shaped metal bracket of sorts will do, but do any of you know of any that I can buy prior to me having to start fabricating pieces and bits myself (which I probably will fail at).
So basically, anyone know of a way to ngle CSPV2 pedals on the WSP but using aluminium/steel (metal) to ensure that it looks similar and part of the setup and not just a chunk of wood and cable ties :)
Who cares what it looks like as long as it works.
True :D
i was hoping to find the "best" solution though, if I can only find ugly solutions so be it :)
I did find this online, wondered if it might fit onto the CSPv2 as it looks like it could be easily modified to fit the WSP and still look like part of the actual design? http://www.wickes.co.uk/invt/165038
does anyone use a WSP with CSPv2 at an angle? If so what solution have you employed?
I'm a cheapskate. I'm still playing on an original MS wireless racing wheel clamped onto a folding tray table with my pedals just laying on the floor. I can't bring myself to spend a bunch of dough on a fantech setup. Whenever I get that much money in hand, it usually ends up buying a new guitar or related gear. lol.
good luck on finding a satisfactory solution though. Maybe look around on the web a little at some other racing setups. Maybe you'll spot something that you could implement into your own setup.
Yea I totally understand that, I get the funds available and then just want to buy car or AV stuff. This time I'm forcing myself to actually buy the setup as a kind of home arcade type event :)
I wish I could play the guitar though :( I tried when I was 18, bought one, and because I was not amazing after a few days ... Sold it and bought a dreamcast instead :)
Ive been checking about online, but not really found much else apart from wooden contractions.. I was maybe hoping that someone had inadvertently found that a random pipe from a random item in a DIY store actually fits the WSP like a glove :)
Ill keep looking though, I'm expecting my wheel at the end of the month and I want it to be perfect and ready to go when it arrives, I literally can't wait. Then I'm booking a driving lesson with you lot (if you'll teach me) :)
I'm not totally awful, but a little practice never hurt anyone and I really Don't wanna be the guy who ruined everyone else race :-0
i want to practice hard and get good.
I'm hoping my setup will also help me be a bit smoother too :)
You could just make yourself a little angled basse to place the pdals onto, & then aatach that to the cocpit chassis somehow. perhps using some basic L brakets.
If you did it right, it would be unnoticable with a little bit of spray pain to mtch up any brackets to the chassis color.
You are giving my DIY capabilities way to much credit :D
i am literally, seriously, honestly THE worst DIY guy you could ever imagine. Think Mr Bean and Frank Spencer and multiply by infinity. I am awful. I tried to hang a picture once and it all went wrong... Technology I'm good with, DIY Ohh dear :-0
lol
