Post-patch loadouts?

I need some advice from you MVP medals owners.

I'd like to have your opinion on the weapons post patch and possibly your favorite loadouts.

I mostly play the medic and engineer classes, a bit of support and rarely recon.

I am especially looking for easy to control/slow ROF weapons.

Thanks

PS: Don't worry about sharing your battle-tested expertise, your god-like skills will always give you an edge 44

far from godlike here and others are likely better skilled but for me:

assault medic:  medkit and defib of course, then M16a3 with Kobra, underslung and heavy barrel.  either that or AN94 w/same attachments

engineer:  mines and rocket, then M4a1 with kobra, nothing and heavy barrel.  for slower firing/long range - SCAR H w/same setup

support: ammo and claymores/c4,  Mg36 with kobra, bipod and laser (but will change to heavy barrel once i unlock)

recon: tugs and beacon,   SKS with pk-a 3.4x, bipod, and laser (again will change to hbar after unlocking).

for me, Kobra sight and heavy barrel are the go to attachments once I unlock those.  I never use foregrip or silencer.

long range i will use SKS with 3.4x sight but nothing higher than 4x.

sidearm - I always stick to 93r.

Thanks, love the Kobra too, favorite overall sight, like the 3.4 too.

Pre-patch, I tried HB on every weapon without too much base horizontal recoil, vertical is way more manageable for me even when increased by the HB.

So I guess DICE didn't mess that much with the M16/M4A1...

I prefer the slower firing weapons too so these setups may help. Personal preference for scopes has always been Red Dot since I prefer the quicker aiming, especially in tighter quarters or front line fighting, which is usually where you can find me. The Holo and Kobra seem to jump around too much. The Red Dot keeps me on target more. But to each their own of course. For sidearm I have been using the M1911 w/ Tact light since the beginning, and it just got a boost in the most recent patch, making it even better. Then of course use the extra class item of your choice.

Assault - L85A2 w/ Red Dot, Foregrip, Heavy Barrel

I use the M320 Launcher instead of the health pack. (Usually have the Squad Grenade perk on this class as it gives you more tube rounds

Engineer - SG553 w/ Red Dot, Foregrip, Heavy Barrel (you may notice a pattern emerging, lol)

SMAW/RPG with Blowtorch for fixing vehicles

Support - 2 options here - M27-IAR w/ Red Dot, Foregrip, Heavy Barrel or the L86A2 w/ the same

C4 or Claymores, occasionally Mortar if necessary or able

Recon - Hardly use at all, but when I do I use it more like a Rifleman than a Sniper. usually the SKS or M417 with the same stuff (Red Dot, grip, etc...)

I will give the L85 a try with your setup, probably with an attached M26

So I tried the L85 HB with FG and without FG, definitely a great choice, thanks.

As for the ACW with HB, I tried it last night, ROF is a little too high for me to control it properly. I will keep on playing it next WE to get a better feel.

I don't play the support class most of the time, when I do I use the PKP, I find less difficult to handle than other belt feed MGs.

As an MLG BF player I would highly recommend the G53, grip, holo and silenced of course.  That's one nasty gun.

Here's my favorite right now: AN94 HB 3.4 scope

Of course it's a really fun gun to use from a distance but what surprises me is that it's not bad at all from the hip.

They must have changed the AN94 since the last time I picked it up. Cuz I remember that gun being about as accurate as my first piss in the morning 46

Dunno, with the HB it seems pretty accurate to me, on default semi-auto it looks like the two bullets land on the exact same spot or very close to each other and since I am guilty of trying to go for the headshot instead of center mass most of the time, it fits my play style. That being said, for a weapon supposed to perform well at range, I still have to lead running targets a lot. It will take me some time to get used to that. Also one thing I've noticed comparing it with the L85, is that the latter stays more on target when you are moving laterally while aiming down the sight.

I found the AN94 didnt work for me at all. I loved it in BC2. Have you tried the AUG? That, F2000 and famas are my favourite assualt rifles.

I dont know if this helps but I always use iron sights I find them easier and faster once you get used to them. It can be a bit disorientating if you switch weapons a lot.

I don't use high ROF weapons except on TDM/CQ maps. I find the F2000 a little easier to handle than the Famas.

I would guess best attachments  for both would be FG and  FS or Laser sight, correct?

As for the AUG, I've never really tried it, could be an interesting choice, just a bit faster than the L85, great bullet velocity, I will try it but I don't know about attachments, FG? HB? None?

The only attachment I ever use consistently is the foregrip. If you dont like weapons with high ROF have you tried the underslung M26 with slugs or frags to gives you a back up when you need to reload?

Anyway I would recommend trying the AUG.

I'm just starting to use the M26, so most of the time I forget about using it and end up using a pistol.

I will definitely try the AUG with a FG
