WOOHOO!

Suddenly, about two weeks ago, i started feeling better. Less pain, less fatigue, breathing easier, able to do more 'stuff', and best of all...i've had an appetite! i've managed to lower one of the 'temporary helper' meds (Prednisone) down to 3mg a day. And i'm STILL feeling better and eating! Best news of all: my weight is up to 101 lbs!!!! I've been below 100lbs since 1995. The closest i came was 98lbs, and then i'd catch a cold or some bug going around, and drop three pounds overnight. My 'normal' weight before i got sick was 102-106 lbs.

And...we're back.

It's been well over a month since the second round of chemo. I was told, by the doctors at the chemo center and my own doctor, that 2-4 weeks after the second round, we would know, for sure, if it worked. Well, i feel like shit. I'm in pain, all the time. I'm exhausted, all the time, for no reason other than the disease. i was 'allowed' to add Prednisone to the medication line up, but only temporarily and only 5mg a day. With that, i'm doing a bit better, but not a lot better.

NOT a FML kinda week!

SOOOOOOOO i was feeling really bad last week. Got my doctor to let me take Prednisone again for a couple of weeks. Wish i could take it forever, but it's hard on your heart, your bones, your skin, blahblahblah. Anyway, it helps and the pain, a week later, is a LOT better! It's back to 'tolerable.' i'm actually sleeping 5 hours a night! Woohoo!!

a FML kind of week.

Still no signs that the chemo is working. But i'm told to wait at least two more weeks before we can determine it's effectiveness or lack thereof. My 'regular' meds are not doing enough to keep the disease(s) from making me miserable right now. i'm sick of being in pain and exhausted all the time for no good reason. But i can bitch about it in a blog and deal.

Enjoy the little things.

SO i still feel like crap. Tired all the time...so tired i basicly live on the couch. I've been out to eat twice in three weeks, and was so tired i was in need of a two hour nap upon returning home. i'm achy...the serious, autoimmune disease trying to kill me achy. Saw the doctor today, who told me i have at least three weeks to wait and see if the chemo even worked or not. Lovely. I get to live on the couch because i'm too tired to go anywhere or do anything for three more weeks. Yay me!
