I'm thinking about picking up a clearance Sony KDS-60A3000 which is a 60" rear projection HDTV that is best in class last year.

It's got all the bells and whistles including 10,000:1 contrast ration with dynamic irus which adjust the contrast dynamically.  2.5 ms refresh rate as well as 120hz rather than the typical 60hz found in most sets.  It's true 1080p with 3 HDMI 3.1 ports, vga port, component etc... lots of options.  Even has a USB port on the back for flash updates to upgrade the TV firmware.

Reviews are all excellent.
