Please send your positive vibes

A lot of you read my blogs about losing my job a couple of months ago.  That's been pretty hard on me.  (Check it out, Beavis -- he said, "hard on").  A situation has developed very rapidly over the last week that feels like the guiding hand of fate is involved.

A little over a week ago, I applied at division of a very large, global manufacturing company for a role that I honestly felt was beneath me.  I applied because I had heard good things about this company (let's call the company "C"), and even though the role was the sort of thing I was doing 3 years ago, I was feeling a little desperate.

To make a long story short, C pounced on me.  I had a couple of phone interviews and it turns out that they agree the role I applied for is beneath me -- they actually want me to be their Director of Quality.  Yesterday, HR called me at 7:45am (because they didn't want to miss me) and asked if I could interview with a couple people in person at their site today.  It turns out that those "couple of people" are: the Director of Customer Support, the current Director of Quality (who I would be replacing), the Director of Business Systems and Processes, Division Manager of Human Resources, VP of Human Resources, VP of Operations, and VP of Finance.

HR also asked me if I would be available to start "more or less immediately".  The circumstances around this feel really positive to me.  So, if any of you can send a positive thought my way this afternoon, I sure would appreciate it.  This would be a helluva Christmas present for me.
