It still stings...
I just got my first formal rejection in my job hunt today. The email from the guy at Rockwell was short and not-so-sweet: "No interest here. Apologies." In my job search, I've had a couple of dead ends, but this was the first time a company with my resume actually said "No".
Even though I wasn't particularly passionate about working for Rockwell, it still stings. I haven't had a job rejection since my first job out of college. Any job I've applied for in the last 15 years, I've gotten.
On the somewhat bright side, I have a potential connection at Harley-Davidson. Now there is a place I'd really like to work. Keep your fingers crossed for me...

Dude- you get hooked up at HD, you're my new parts guy!!!!\r
Good luck!\r
Don't sweat it too much - the job probably went to someone's buddy or someone internal to the company. They probably had someone picked out before you even got to throw your name in the hat. Hopefully the HD thing will pan out!
Got CoD4 early ad working for HD, fuck I hate you....oh wait you don't work for them yet, it's back down to mildly dislike you...
Don't sweat Rockwell at all, they laid off a crapload of people just 2 years ago and are probably hiring cheap, just out of school people , who will probably get tossed aside when they reach a certain pay grade.. happened to my cousin-in-law just 2 years ago..\r
Good luck with HD! I know their records guy, great place to work!
