I Finally Finished School!

It took me a while to finally see Cranefolder's blog post about my final dissertation defense.  http://www.2old2play.com/Blog/Permalink/2275/14643  And I just have to finally thank him publicly.  Many of you know that Cranefolder has been my best friend since high school.  We've seen a ton of miles together and I'm proud to know him and to have been his friend for so long.  I went through a lot both personally and professionally during my time in grad school and it meant so much to have him and his wife there on my graduation day

Another Rant

I first started noticing this problem with books and movies: that is looking for something that has some substance that hasn’t been done to death.  I actually cringe when going to movies and renting them because they so easily bore me.  I can walk around blockbuster reading the back of boxes and pick out the plot elements without even watching the flick.  Books are bad too.  I can’t tell you how many I’ve picked up and never finished because the plot was already familiar.  TV is eve
