I love mutiplayer games that cater to the casual gamer

Like many people, I love to play with others online but I just don't have the time to 'rank' very quickly in many of today's more popular games.  Consequently, I often enter the battlefield with a major disadvantage...I don't have access to the better weapons or skills that many others have already unlocked.   Now, don't get me wrong, getting to that 'next' level is what keeps many players coming back over and over (keeping it fresh) but for some of us, that 'next' level is long in coming and results in many, many frustrating gaming sessions.

This is why I am looking forward to playing Battlefield 1943 (coming in July...so I have heard).  No waiting for access better weapons (all the while getting destroyed by those who already have them) and no special skills that are intially unaccessable.  Just a fun, FPS that almost everyone should be able to pick up and play.

And all for $15 too!

Yeah, what ATC said. No upgrades as far as I know in Fat Princess either. Well, you can upgrade classes and weapons in game by using resources but it goes back to 0 the next game.

check out Rainbow Six Vegas 2 if you haven't already. You rank up during singleplayer too, not just multiplayer, and the character is persistent. It rocks.\r Also, left 4 dead is all about easily accessible multiplayer madness. If you haven't played these games, I highly recommend them.

ATC, Biznass...I heard Battlefield is coming out first. But yes, if the gameplay is absent of 'ranking' (besides individual games), of course I would be interested in FP.\r \r david...thanks for the suggestions but I only have a PS3.
