Halo Reach

If you don't suck at the game, it is completely fantastic with site stat tracking which COD FAILS at for one. Better lobby than all, and addictive gameplay that rewards smart tactics and actual skill over twitch and one shot kill ala COD.

I'm not feeling it either. Didnt have the love for Halo 3 either. And the Halo guys can say I suck at it or whatever, doesnt make me like it anymore. I prefer FPS where the enemy dies when I shoot them instead of after a clip and a half of ammo plus a melee. COD hardcore mode is where it's at.

Xssmoke, W@W kept stats. It's Infity Ward cpod games that don't.

Xsssmoke, I agree with you on the Stat tracking.. Bungie does a great job on that end. I just think it would have been nice to bring sometype of new element to the Halo series. \r \r They did make a some upgrades (as seen in the beta) , but that's just it! Upgrades. \r \r I still think the first Halo is the best ( did alot of lan parties when it first came out) that one game made me buy an xbox.) But don't see that many upgrades from the first game.. IE visuals, Game play- \r Now that being said- I still enjoy the game for the most part via playing with the clan. But public matches suck ass. \r \r BTW when I say I am bad at it doesn't mean I can't compete. There is just a lot more better players then myself. I can hold my own against most timmies, they just drive me nuts for some reason on this game.\r MW2 is almost as bad. \r

Im loving the Beta thus far,.. if you dont wanna hear timmie talk, there is a setting on dashboard so that you only hear Friends.

Its for the the fans definitely. But you need to understand that Halo multiplayer is what changed everything. It is what gave life to Xbox Live and even 2old2play. Its also the epitome of what the multiplayer experience should be. Is there Theater, Live Stats, Forge, or can you share custom games you created, pics, vids, with just a click of a button with MW2 or any other game for that matter?

im more of a 3ps fan myself, I remember playing Halo and CallofDuty on the pc. what like 6years ago? when i tried them out on the console they played just like their pc counterparts. that dropped my intrest in both games right to zero.\r \r \r \r \r \r

My guess is that it's more polished than anything out there. There's a lot of MP functionality that's been in Halo that everyone else is STILL trying to catch up with. I've never been a Halo fan; never owned a Halo game before. Even I recognize where the game really shines, though.

To this day nothing has come close to the MP of Halo. I'm not talking about game play cause really that comes down to taste. What i mean is the lobby system, networking code, matchmaking, theater, forge, and everything else behind it. \r \r Since playing Halo CE I have always said that the game itself is extremely simple. At its core it is nothing more then your basic shooter. It's because of this though, that balance is almost perfect and the MP structure that holds it can shine through. \r \r I am by no means a Halo fan boi. I thought Halo 3 (the gameplay) was pure shit and haven't played a Halo game for almost 2 years. However, I can not pretend for a minute that Halo single handedly started online console gaming and has since refined it 10 fold with each release. So basically for people who want to see what online gaming of the future is or should be like, you look to bungie first.
