Well, it's going better than I thought.  Not great but okay.  The girl is 12 and very immature for age.  I don't think she gets a lot of attention at any of her homes.  She is driving my wife crazy because my wife gives her a little attention so she worships her.  In fact, she can't get away from her.  My wife just acted like she was going to do some laundry so she could sneak out and run some errands without her.  My little boys (almost 4 and 5) worship the boy (age 9).  Problem is he doesn't really want anything to do with them.  He is too cool for them.  Good news is that they are going to

I am going to pick them up in a few minutes.  A little background.  He married into a ready made family.  She had a girl and a little boy when they met.  The girl still saw her dad every other weekend but the little boy's father didn't even know he existed.  My brother-in-law marries her and adopts the little boy as his own.  The little girl is sort of a pain and he really never could get along with her.  Fast forward several years and they are getting a divorce.  BIL is getting custody of son.  She didn't even put up a fight.  She just wanted her car and a tv.  I don't even have to tell you m

Thursday night, my oldest who just went to the doctor for the blood in his urine starts to sound horse.  Wake up Friday morning and he can't talk and is running a small fever.  Back to the doctor.  We have to drive about 35 minutes to get to the doctor because we don't trust the doctors in our small town but that is another story.  They run a strep test.  While they are waiting for results, the doctor explains that strep can cause blood in the urine.  Turns out he doesn't have strep so we are still going to a specialist on the 17th.  A guy that my wife teaches with has a boy a little older tha

Thursday night, my oldest who just went to the doctor for the blood in his urine starts to sound horse.  Wake up Friday morning and he can't talk and is running a small fever.  Back to the doctor.  We have to drive about 35 minutes to get to the doctor because we don't trust the doctors in our small town but that is another story.  They run a strep test.  While they are waiting for results, the doctor explains that strep can cause blood in the urine.  Turns out he doesn't have strep so we are still going to a specialist on the 17th.  A guy that my wife teaches with has a boy a little older tha

The kids went last week for their yearly check up.   Everything was good except my five year old had blood in his urine.  Doctor said no big deal but wanted us to come back this week for another test to make sure he was better.  He said kids sometimes  did this.  Turns out he still has blood in the urine.  They are now sending him to a specialist.  He still didn't seem real concerned.  He said some people had this and it wasn't anything.  He isn't worried but it isn't his kid either.  I am not ashamed to say that I am  little worried.

So I go to the dentist this morning for a deep cleaning.  Turns out the dentist decided I needed to get two fillings instead.  He goes to numb me and he must have stuck me 10 or 11 times.  I have never been so numb in my entire life.  He fills them and sends me home.  That was at 8:30 this morning and it is now 2:00 and I am still a little numb.  I also have discovered that he built the fillings up too much and I can't shut my mouth correctly.  The back teeth on the opposite teeth do not close.  I guess I will have to go back and get him to grind a little bit off.  Maybe he won't have to stick
