L4D 2 Demo impressions:

Left 4 Dead 1 was a great game. No doubt about it. On PC it saw lots of community support, custom campaigns...etc. On the Xbox, not so much. Valve pretty much left the console people out in the cold as far as real DLC goes. And when real DLC finally came out, we had to pay for it, unlike the PC/Steam community who got it for free.

So even though I enjoyed it on the Xbox, it honestly left a bad taste after Microsoft forcing Valve to charge....and then Valve announcing a sequel so soon.

An early birthday gift from my Grandfather. I've been wanting a hat like this for a long time. And now I have 2. Yes. He got me 2 hats. And they shall be worn at the beach all next week.

My XBL gold subscription is due to die today. Which is apparently did....then automatically renewed. Here's the part where I might be winning something. The card that is currently tied to my account is not currently active. It was replaced probably 6 months ago when my bank reported to me that Visa had a huge list of card numbers become compromised. Mine was one...so they cancelled the card and sent me a new one right away. Totally new numbers..all that.

last time I try to fix a 360 myself. had a red-ringed pro that was laying around and I decided.....what the hell. I'll try to fix it.

replaced the x-clamps with new screws with plastic washers, placed new cooling gel.

I think I fried the board though because after I cooked it for a few minutes and tightened the screws down for the last time....I noticed the board slightly warping depending on how hard I tightened...which was barely.
