Brilliance in Unexpected Places (Printable VersionE-mail to a Friend )
We’ll take serendipity when we can get it. Another palatable, global warming infomercial in Electric Car; Talladega Nights is just what it should be.

feel the hate

[16:40] ken71: FUCKING A
[16:40] ken71: I hate people
[16:43] Drost: You want this, dont you? The hate is swelling in you now. Take your Jedi weapon. Use it. I am unarmed. Strike me down with it. Give in to your anger. With each passing moment you make yourself more my servant.
[16:44] ken71: how about you take your keyboard
[16:44] ken71: and shove it up your ass
[16:44] Drost: Good. Use your aggressive feelings, boy. Let the hate flow through you.
[16:45] ken71: die
[16:45] Drost: Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side.

To Whom It May Concern:

Dear Timmy,

“Rape.”

Every time I hear you say that word, I want to FedEx you a kick to the junk. Perhaps repeated kicks (I wonder, would I get bulk rate?).

Imagine for a moment your mom or your sister or girlfriend (or your dad who’s been imprisoned for drunk driving). Mom or sis or girlfriend is walking across a grocery store parking lot. A Silence-of-the-Lambs van rolls up, snatches her and then bad things happen.

People Always Ask Me Whats Good...

I have to write mini-reviews of all the movies opening/opened on a given weekend for my column. Heres the current batch:

Now Playing

A Scanner Darkly: Based on a story from sci-fi author Philip K. Dick, this future tale has Keanu Reeves being recruited by a government to spy on his friends. Because in the future, not only will they tap your phones, they’ll tap your friends. In the name of terror and the war on drugs. This one was shot normally, then animated over the film, so it’s going to look a little weird.

Not from our world-weary sage. How about an art film blockbuster?
