For those of you who are aware of my fathers battle with cancer I just wanted to share some very good news we received yesterday. Looks like the chemo meds that he is taking are actually working he went to see his onocologist yesterday and it turns out that 2 of the tumors shrunk and the rest stayed the same size no new ones and no growth! This news made me so happy I think that he turned a corner finally. After having his left kidney removed and having radiation for the legion in his brain this was very very happy news.

Well as it's the last work day of 2010 for me I guess it's time to reflect back on this year and all I can say is 1 thing....it SUCKED! My wife and I went through our worst financial year ever this year and my father was diagnosed with cancer back in June. So all in all I personally say fuck you 2010 and bring on 2011 here's to hoping that it's better. It can't be much worse than 2010 was. On a more positive note I would like to wish everyone from 2o2s and all of 2o2p a prosperous and healthy new year.

Back sometime in June of this year my mother called me to tell me that my father had a tumor in his lung and another suspicious spot on his kidney. Turns out that the spot on his kidney was stage 3 kidney cancer. On July 16th my father had successful surgery that removed his left kidney with the tumor in it. He recovered for 4 weeks which is what he was told the recovery time would be and then met with an oncologist. They wanted him to get another scan to see what the tumor in his lung did.

We're coming up on my favorite time of the year fall. Why you ask? A few reasons but first and foremost FOOTBALL! I am a huge football fan and this time of year makes me very happy. I love both college and pro and hopefully my teams (for anyone who cares they are the Miami Hurricanes & Dallas Cowboys) will do well this year. My wife loves Halloween and she loves to decorate our apartment for it which is something I actively take a roll in helping her in. Also I love it when there is a slight "nip" in the air where I have to wear a light jacket or sweatshirt nothing like in winter.
