Discovered the gallery
It took me a while to discover the 2o2p gallery, but I'm glad I did. It's cool to be able to put faces with the gamertags. It's very easy to use -- you can just upload files from your PC, you don't have to link to some photo server. I threw up a handful of screen captures from the video of my fight in The Milwaukee Rumble, a "tough man" competition. At 37, I was the second oldest fighter out of 32 guys. Even though I lost on points, it was an amazing experience.

Christ on a rubber crutch! Remind me to take you by surprise!! With a bat! :)\r

Very cool. I've considered competing, but I'm 5'5\" and about 175 fighting weight. My reach would get me pummeled- hence, the bat. The great equalizer.\r

Very cool, again.
I haven't trained in the boxing club in probably 8 months. I still try to lift weights, do cardio, or work the heavy bag 4-5 times a week, but it's not with the intensity you get when you're in a club for 2 hours a night sparring with kids half your age.\r

I miss it, but it's a huge time commitment and I'd rather spend that time with my kids. Still, I plan on giving it one more run before I turn 40. If Balboa can do it, so can I. :D\r

Anyhow, thanks for the compliments guys. I might post a couple of pics when I was weight training for the fight, but I don't want people to think I'm full of myself. ;)
Alright, I'll throw up a couple more pics. On one, you'll see a pretty fierce bruise on my left arm. There's one on my right too, but it's hidden a bit by my tattoo. Got that working out with Russian kettlebells before I learned to control the inertia on cleans.\r

If you've seen Rocky Balboa, the thing he's training with that looks like a bowling ball with a handle is a kettlebell. The weight is off center and when it comes flipping down into your arm on a clean (if you don't control it), well, you get a big bruise.
