Digg.com Pwnt By The Masses!

If anyone checks out digg.com right now you'll see a huge mess. Apparently a user submits the hex values 09 F9 11 03 9D 74 E3 5B D6 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0 and is banned from the site.

These numbers have something to do with an HD-DVD hack and since Diggnation is sponsored by HD-DVD the reason seems sound: take down the story before things get out of hand with their sponsor....but then it all goes wrong.

Is It A Cold Day In Hell?

So, I have done something I never thought would happen. It's as if, by my own actions, I have single handedly, indefinitely, destroyed my credibility as a mac-bashing hater PC user. I've been, traditionally, I'm the John Hodgman of the PC world.

The Best Day In The World

Why is it the best day in the world... ?

Once upon a time, 31 years ago today, a baby was born who would grow up to be a tech geek video game dork. Five hours after his birth, 31 years later, he would write a blog about the best day in the world. Why? Because it was his Birthday.

Now I have to go update my profile to have "31" instead of "30" because our system doesn't "do the math" itself ;-)

Two Hours Till Vacation!

Yes, finally. I have 280 hours of vacation time built up, I don't recall taking a vacation since 2001. Where am I going? Home. It's not where I'm going on vacation, it's that my vacation means I'm not going to work.

My plans, get a hair cut, register the cars, refill the hot tub, play video games, write some php code and otherwise NOT go to work. It's going to be all that I thought it could be.

Maybe I'll even drink a beer sometime during the week, you know, a little burst of the wild side.

The Flu Sucks

Stupid viruses and stuff... laid me out for the last four days. Nothing sucks more than having timed deliverables on many of my projects all boil down to this week and having my body refuse to do anything productive.

Somehow, magically maybe, Doodirock and I managed to get one of our contract sites up and Live days before the scheduled release. Their excuse "our IT guys are gone for the weekend so we want to do it now."

Um, who decides to send a new website live the only time you have no IT engineers to work on any possible problems? No pressure.

Beta Tester Signup for "Casual Games"

For those of you that like casual games, I got an e-mail from LargeAnimal saying their accepting beta testers for their games. I'm not sure if its new/old or they're just making it more "public" (since it was in their newsletter).

However if you do like testing games or have some free time: click here.
