On your "mark"...

Still playing FF XII, my characters are all around level 40-41.  I've taken a break from the main quest and am gathering up "marks" or "hunts" from the guild.

It is amazing how some are easy (i.e. nobody dies during the fight) and other times I get annihilated.

Enter Sochen Cave

After Assassin's Creed, I have played a couple of nights again with Final Fantasy XII.

This is my first JRPG, as I haven't ever owned a PlayStation.

I bought FFXII in December 2006 with the purchase of the PS3. I have played it on and off since I bought the system.

I restarted once, when I was in the late-twenties levels or so with all the characters because I put it down for about 3 months.

Changing colors

We decided to paint the living room and dining room.  We've lived in this 100+ year old house for about 3 years and have had two kids here.  We love it, but want to "personlize" it a little by changing the paint.

Anyway, hired painters who did the outside and things are going pretty well.  We trucked the kids off to her parents house for the week (or however long it takes), and they're wrapping it up today and tomorrow.

Assassin's Creed - Endgame

I just finished Assassin's Creed a few minutes ago and will have to process it a little.

Overall, a great opening of a franchise. The gameplay is beautiful. There is a rich backstory that will allow the writers to really have fun with the world. There are a couple of forseeable twists, but a couple of fun ones along the way that catch you by surprise.

Glory, Glory to Old Georgia

I am sorry that Hawaii had to lose for us to win.

If they had been playing anyone else, I would have been rooting for the underdog.  As it stands, I had to root for my dogs.

We performed well, moved the ball, scored the points, hurried and sacked the quarterback.

I think we'll be in the top 5 easily next year starting the season with a legitimate chance at the National Championship.

Resolutions

Happy 2008, fellow gamers.

I hope you had a great couple of days off with good gaming and family time.

I just wanted to remind each of you to check with your doctor annually (for those of us over 35 years old) and get the routine stuff done.

Why would you want an annual exam?  Sure its uncomfortable, time-consuming and the damn doctor wants to get fasting blood work.

Two words: disease prevention

Routine blood work, physical exams, and pap smears/prostate checks are shown to prevent disease.
