10 Year Class Reunion

I have mine coming up in a couple months...These things suck. And just because they're not quite painful enough we were given a list of questions to answer and send back so that everyone "can get to know eachother again".

Here is a selection of the questions:

Are you married? Dating?  Single?  I might answer married and dating...just for fun.

Do you have a house or an apartment?  I know for a fact that the girl who wrote the questions lives with her mom. I wonder how she'll answer.

What's your favorite food? Is this really relevant or even interesting after 10 years?

What do you do? Where do you work? What jobs have you had? Ever since the accident, my stripping career...

What is your life goal? I think we had to write that next to our senior picture in the yearbook. Please refer to Class of 98 yearbook.

What is your greatest accomplishment? I was invited to the 98 10-year reunion?

What will you be doing in 5 years? Filling out some gay questionnaire for my 15-year reunion.

Here are the questions people really want to know that weren't asked:

How many kids?

How many divorces?

How much weight have you gained?

And on top of answering questions, they're charging $80 to attend for apps and keg beer in a shitty hometown hotel banquet room. WTF?. View Image

Has anyone ever went to their high school reunion and NOT regretted it? I'm clearly a little bitch-assed about this.

the first thing I did when I left High School was gave them a fake address and had my number unlisted....problem solved.

I went to my 10 year. Turned around in the parking lot. It was high school all over again.. and I just couldn't do it. I chickened out, and am glad for it. I can't think of a single person I knew was going that I really wanted to reconnect with or listen to brag about their accomplishments.

I went, I had fun, it was nice seeing some old folks and how so many haven't changed and a few have. No regrets.

I don't think we even had our 10 year. Believe it got cancelled. Will probably go to my 20th in 2010.

I had a blast at mine, but I enjoy any event where booze is involved. Unlike others, high school was not a traumatic event for me. Like I said, I enjoy any event where booze is involved.\r \r That being said, my wife's reunion was....interesting. Some dude thought he was still in high school and pulled out the full moon during group pictures.\r

I didn't go to the \"real\" reunion...because I wasn't invited.\r The picnic that the rest of us unpopular people had was fun though. :D

I didn't go to my 10th. My cousin went so I asked him about it. It went just as I expected. My class sucked.

At least ours will be in the backroom of a bar. Class of 98 FTW!

Funny answers T. I guess I am in the minority. I went to my 5,10,15 & 20 year reunion. Damn I'm old. It's fun seeing a lot of the people I hung out with in HS, but really don't want to see except once every 5 years. Of course, it helps that I think I improved since HS in almost every category..well maybe not stamina.

I didn't go to mine last year. It would have been almost $200 for me and my wife to go. It was held in a Marriott hotel ballroom. I ran into someone I went to school with on the bus, and she said only around 60 people out of 300 were going. I figured, if I wanted to talk to these people, I wouldn't have waited 10 years to do it.

My graduating class had 13 people in it, (that number is not a typo) There are only 7,000 people in the whole city.\r \r I didn't go, but one of my classmates (who is also my cousin) did and told me what I missed out on.\r \r The reunion took place at a school booster club fund raiser dinner in the church basement, which doubles as the school cafeteria. (like I wanted to listen to a bunch of strokes talk about how they were doing gods work and have them ask me for money...) The after hour get together was at a local bar, the same one everyone goes to every weekend anyway. 6 people went to the reunion.\r \r I can't believe I didn't buy a plane ticket to be there for the experience. (sarcasm)\r \r \r

I went home for the 10-I stabbed the overweight prom queen with a turkey leg, stole the booze from the class president's AA stash, kicked our goody-two-shoes class chaplain in the ass for being the same horsefaced plain jane she was in hs, was elected to town mortician and mayor.\r \r They named a street after my colon.\r \r Earl Street.
