I just read a couple good books on management, teamwork and decision-making that helped sort some of that out. Turns out, I'm not crazy - maybe just a little. lol.
I know these are "old news" for the people that buy every business new release - but I just got around to them. Highly recommended.
Blink by Malcolm Gladwell
This one is about decision-making and following your gut. It explains why there are times you "just know" but you can't explain why...Very good read for anyone, really - but especially those that need to think on their feet.
Also good - The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni
This one simplifies very common sense principles on what causes teams to break down and become completely ineffective. It was like reading a book about my company in a lot of ways. It's told through a story about a ficticious company. Super easy read, finished it in one night...I've also heard his "Death by Meetings" is good. I might check that one out too.
If you've got any faves on the business genre, list em.
