Still feeling like shit from the sinus infection, except now it finally seems like its breaking up.  Between the constant drainage and really sore throat I've been experiencing for a couple days now hopefully I'm at the end of this miserable line.  Had an absolutely shit leg workout today, but I got through it.  I can already see a long nap in my future today.

Speaking of the lifting, I've been averaging about 2.5 - 3 pounds of weight loss per week since I've hit the gym.  I think thats a good steady pace, nice and safe.  It seems so far that I have a good balance of fat loss and muscle buildup working right now, a change in my body composition.  I really want a fast forward button though...I know I have to be patient, but in my mind's eye I can see the results I'm looking for and I'm sick of being such a trainwreck physically.  For now I'm taking solace in the fact that every day I'm less of a trainwreck than I was the day before.  Working out is such a mental endeavor, at least for me.

Beat Deus Ex last night.  The ride was exceptional, however the destination was less than inspiring.  I would still recommend this game to anyone but expect the last level to be a bit of a letdown, as well as all of the 4 endings.  There's still a challenge to a point but it becomes so drastically different in tone from the rest of the game you have to wonder if whoever designed that last bit had any communication with the rest of the dev team throughout the game's development cycle.

My son played his first varsity football game as a starter this past weekend, he's the strong side offensive tackle.  I made the 150 mile drive and was quite the proud dad.  Not sure how many games I can make, plus they only have 4 home games.  Most of their away games are south and southwest of their town so those are pretty much out.  His team is ranked first in state for 6A, which is amazing considering how small the program is.  They had a stiff challenge right off the bat in one of the up and coming teams in the conference, complete with a stud QB (this kid was really good, ours was better though :) ) and good WRs.  My son had some sweet blocks and helped spring some big runs.  They ran for almost 300 yards and had over 150 in passing while allowing no sacks.  He even got a little chippy early on, engaging in a little post-play shoving with the DE who he was feeding his lunch to.  :D

Here's a few pics from the game and after.  And btw, expect a lot of pics and blog updates about this.  Be glad you're not on my facebook friends list, I'm even more annoying with this on there:

Shirt I had made up for the games lol:

After the game at Pizza Hut. Not sure if he was making a wish here or what lol:
