I finally got my HTS set up and the wireless headphones integrated.  I've never felt like such a freaking tard in my life, trying to get those headphones up and running.  Fortunately a buddy of mine lives a couple buildings over and had the spare time to come over and lend his expertise.  In my defense, he did need to diagram the whole thing out before figuring out how to set it all up so it worked.  :)

So I bought a couple pairs of Turtle Beach PX5 wireless headsets, and I must say they're pretty damn sweet.  The second set is mainly for my son when he's up.  Because of the sleep apnea I have to sleep in the recliner in the living room, and usually when he's up here I'm going to bed while he's just getting warmed up on CoD.  So there's lots of "Hey buddy, can you turn that down a bit more?" requests throughout the night.  This way I can doze off and he can keep playing, plus there's presets that allow you to focus on footsteps and stuff like that.  My son said his buddy has a pair of the XP4s that have that same feature and it makes a huge difference.  Cool.

Speaking of dozing off, I'm on zero sleep so far.  No idea why but the insomnia bug hit and its most likely going to screw up the rest of my week.  Not like I have anywhere to be, but still.  And I have someone coming out to look at my tv this morning (I think the optic port is bad, the sound gets distorted now and then even through the headphones) so I can't go ahead and doze off now.

I was also able to secure a couple of nice end tables to complete the furniture needs for the HTS set up.  I decided at the last minute to save a few bucks and get the set up with smaller left and right speakers instead of the towers, and since I decided to second guess myself at the last minute my penalty was not having anywhere sufficient to place the smaller speakers.  I searched online and couldn't come up with what I wanted so I decided to hit the furniture stores.  I crapped out there and was almost desperate enough to go to IKEA (I hate that fucking place) when I decided to stop at the Meijer across the street.  Thats where I found the tables, the wood almost exactly matches my entertainment center and the tables have a small drawer at the top and a shelf at the bottom.  Win!  This way I can store extra cables and crap in the drawer and I can put the bases for each set of headphones on the bottom shelf of each table.  I'd take a pic except my living room is still torn apart from taking down the old setup and installing the new one, plus all the moving of crap between rooms.  Maybe soon.

Not a whole lot else going on today.  The search for employment continues, so I'll be doing my website/phonecall routine in a bit.  I picked up the latest Harry Potter on bluray the other week and still haven't watched it so maybe I'll do that later.  Of course I picked up Portal 2 and a handful of other 360 games Gamestop had on sale and probably ought to play those since, you know, I spent money on them.

So its Wednesday, hump day.  Whats good on a Wednesday?  How about a couple Megadeth songs:
