Finally, 22+ years after its release on VHS we get the official dvd release all Maiden fans have been begging for. This is the shiznit, its arguably Maiden's best stage show ever and a killer set of songs, although oddly enough no material from the Killers album was performed on this show. Worth noting is that many people consider this one of, if not the, greatest live metal albums of all time.  Its also packed with the documentary releases from back in the mid-80s, 12 Wasted Years and Behind the Iron Curtain. My favorite part of those documentaries was when Maiden went out after a show (I believe it was in Poland) looking for a bar. After finding what they believed to be a pub, they were a bit embarrassed to learn they had mistakenly crashed someone's wedding reception. To make it up to the bride and groom they performed a few songs for them...good stuff.

Also know that Maiden has begun their "Somewhere Lost on Tour"...tour..., which features the very set in this dvd. Hopefully they'll be doing a lot of shows over here in April/May, the set will contain mostly material from Powerslave and Somewhere in Time, and as mentioned they will be sporting around the World Slavery Tour set, completely with the giant mummy Eddie.

Here's the Kerrang review of the dvd set:
