Shared on Sat, 02/14/2009 - 17:12Went out to get a haircut this morning with the kid. He needs one too but swore up and down his mom was taking him somewhere Monday, so it was just me in the chair today. I have been going to Sport Clips for a couple months now. I used to have a barber I went to from 5th grade through 2002 when he retired. To do the math, thats 25 years of me always knowing I was going to get a good haircut. You tend to take that for granted, really, because since he retired I can count on 1 hand the number of haircuts I received that I was happy with. It got to the point that I had such a hard time finding someone decent to cut my hair that I would go like 5 months sometimes without getting it cut. Yeah, crazy homeless guy look FTW!
So last fall I had heard these ads for a place called Sport Clips on The Score and decided to give it a shot. They advertised a package that included the haircut, a hot towel treatment, and a massage. Woot! That whole package ran $21 (they just raised it to $22 I'm sad to say) so I figured I would check it out. As it turns out, the girl who cut my hair was nothing short of brilliant so I've been going regularly to her now, and I've been really happy with the results.
So anyway, that was stop 1 today. When we left the parking lot on our way home we saw those Circuit City liquidation posters up, advertising 50% savings. Hm, I had forgotten there was a CC over in that area so we decided to check it out. Glad we did, because we scored the following:
*Black 360 wireless controller
*360 headset (wired)
*Stranglehold for the 360
*4 dvds: Bloodsport, 28 Weeks Later, Jeepers Creepers, and Hot Fuzz
The cost? $92. Winner winner, chicken dinner. They were picked pretty clean overall, not much left to choose from but not a bad haul considering.
