2Old2Jam is live on tour!

Alrighty, the 2old2play musician's clan, 2Old2Jam, is officially open for business. PM JCotter13 if you would like to join us.

The clan is for anyone who plays an instrument, be it vocals to accordian. If you're a seasoned veteran who has gigged more times than you can count, or if you're a weekend warrior type player who picks up a guitar now and then when the mood strikes, you are welcome to join us. We hope to share opinions on gear, software, playing styles, music in general, and maybe even record some tunes together. Its going to be a great time, but it needs YOU to help get it off the ground. I'm not the greatest bass player you will ever hear, but I am looking forward to having fun with this clan.

In other news, I got a call from my drummer buddy a few hours ago. He and I are still working on putting together a rock/,metal/southern rock band, but in the meantime a guitarist buddy of his has been bugging him to join his band as well. Thing is, this other band plays...gasp...country. My buddy is not up for that so he always begs off of joining. I guess this guitarist friend of his does jam nights on Fridays and asked Dan (the drummer) to join him. Dan told him sure thing...but he's bringing his own bass player. Which would be...me. So I have to learn 4 songs, hopefully by this Friday but definitely by the following Friday. There is also a 5th bonus song we may do as well. The setlist:

So there you have it. I am sad to say that I have only heard the Eagles song before. I know the one is a Johnny Cash song that I probably have heard and just don't remember. But anyway this is going to be quite the test, since I have never played country before...hell, I've never played out before. Much alcohol will be consumed, I do believe. So anyway, I have to get busy learning this because I already said I'd do it.
