Quick Update

First of all, thank you all, so much, for the thoughts and prayers. It was a long night last night, as Stacy and Megan didn't get into a room until after midnight and didn't go to sleep until after 2AM. The news we have so far is that she has pneumonia, with a partially collapsed lung. This is what is causing all of the heavy and labored breathing. She also has Croup. I am getting ready to head down there for a little while and not really looking forward to seeing her looking miserable. Stacy called this morning and told me she looks awful. Looks worse than yesterday, which was bad enough. But, I need to see my baby and love on her.

Speaking a bit candidly now. Over the last year, or so, Stacy and I have been trying to live a normal life. Megan was doing very well. As a matter of fact, no one would ever suspect anything was wrong with her. This has been a huge reality check. This is how fast things can go bad. Just Thursday, she was fine and now look at where we are. Collapsed lung, pneumonia and Croup all within 36 hours. This is the part of the disease I hate the most, the blind-sided blow it deals. Anyhow, she is in one of the best hospitals in the nation, for kids and I have put my entire faith in the Lord for help. Worrying isn't going to help matters, so why bother doing it. I just want my baby girl to come home. The boys are doing great. They are playing and being boys. They hardly know what is going on. They know Megan is in the hospital, but don't really grasp the severity of the situation. Oh, to be that young again. We love you guys very much and I will update as soon as I know something else.
