An new Chronicle and a new blog avatar

Well, the Mater-chewing pic was getting a little old, so I replaced it with one of her sleeping. I can just sit and stare at her for hours while she sleeps. What is she dreaming? What is she thinking? I sometimes get misty-eyed watching her. I love her, and the boys, a lot and it's hard to see them grow up so fast.

I am also posting a new Chronicle as well. The ones I have been posting are from a couple of years ago, all of them, and now I have sat down and was still, just to hear His wonderful voice again. Speaking truth to me, in a time where lies are everywhere trying to convince me to part from the Truth. Hope these bless you as much as they do me.

Deliver

Wow, after all this time being ignorant and not really listening, I
sat and listened to God and my ears and mind were re-opened. God has
placed another word in my heart to share with you all. It's a common
word. Found almost 200 times in the Bible and something that happens
every day. The word is deliver. First of all I would like to define it
and then let you know what God has done, in regards to the word
itself. Webster defines deliver in a number of ways, but I will focus
on the first two definitions.

Deliver – verb – 1. to set free <and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil -- Matthew 6:13
2a. to take and hand over to or leave for another <deliver a package

When I really sat and thought about it, the first thing that comes to
my mind is the story of Moses and how God delivered the Hebrews from
the Egyptians. As a matter of fact, it was the Bible story I read to
my son last night. That is more in reference to the first definition,
they were set free. Then that got me thinking a little bit more.
"Weren't we set free? Free from the grips of the devil when we put our
faith in Jesus Christ?" I answer that "Yes." But Jesus also performs
the second definition. He takes us out of a life to be spent in hell,
being born into sin, and hands us over to heaven to be with the Father
upon our faith being put in Him. Jesus is the Postmaster Spiritual,
ranking higher than the Postmaster General. He has never been late in
his deliveries; he has never delivered to the wrong address. He has
never lost a package, nor has he damaged one. David used the word over
50 times in his Psalms, and why not? God delivered him a number of
times out of the face of death and harm. I particularly like this one:

Psalm 18:2

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock,
in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation,
my stronghold.

Next time you think about how you were delivered, I highly recommend
checking out the Bible. God will tell you how it happened. Take care
everyone and continue to pray for one another, you will be blessed by
it. :)
