Shared on Mon, 10/02/2006 - 09:03Well, I went to the North Georgia State Fair on Friday night, sans camera, and did some highly anticipated "people" watching. To my dismay, the mullets were not in high attendance as hoped for. I'm not sure if it was due to the cooler temps, or maybe the threat of the nasty Mullet Hound (mythical beast thought to prey only on the greasy Mexi-Mullet: and believe me there are plenty of those around here). Oh, don't you worry, there were plenty of missing teeth and "English" majors present. The mating cries of the Neckimus Redickus (common redneck) could be heard throughout Jim R. Miller Park. "Git Er Done!" and "Yeah C'Mon!" were resounding and my personal favorite, sentences containing words and phrases such as "them there", "ain't skeered", "dem boys" and "hell yeah". In addidtion to the wonderful catch phrases, there were plenty of obnoxious laughs. At first, I didn't know if I was at the fair or in the primate exhibit at the zoo. So, that was my Friday night.
Saturday was pretty uneventful, did some cleaning around the house (Note to other married guys: If you want some sweet lovin' at the end of the day, surprise your wife by cleaning the house.) while the wifey went grocery shopping and also went and had the Durango detailed. I would have done it myself, but I lack the necessary tools to do so.
Sunday, well, was pretty good. Went to church in the morning. Watched the Atlanta Vicks pwn the Arizona Cardinals, took a short nap, spent some quality time with my two boys and had my parents over for dinner. After dinner, my wife thought it was a good idea to play Rummikub (A rummy game, with tiles instead of cards). Letting her know that pwnage was eminent, I agreed to take part. Of course, I totally pwned. Winning 3 out of 4 games (second game I was not paying attention, due to me feeding the kids some much needed cake and ice cream for dessert).
Anyhow, that's a review of how my weekend went. Nothing ground-breaking, but some entertainment value came out of it.
