Stacy asked me this morning what I would like to do. I told her, I just want everyone to feel better and be happy. That would be the perfect present. Stacy had some severe headaches last night, not going to sleep until about 5:30AM. How do I know this? I checked my email at work this morning and 2 of them were from her at 3:30AM. I feel like I have to be a bit more aware and thankful this Father's Day. It has taken on a lot of new meaning for me personally. Since last Father's Day, I have lost my Uncle (who was a father), my Grandfather (mom's dad) and all of the stress and drama surrounding Megan. I just want everything to be normal for one day. I may inevitably have to fill her feeding bag, hear her choke or change a diarrhea diaper. These may seem like normal chores to some, other than the feeding bag, but they take on new meaning with Megan. Her diarrhea is awful and constant, her choking is very upsetting to her and us. Just something kids should not have to deal with. But, we are praying hard for her, as are all of you, for which we are truly thankful. I don't know, maybe I'm just ranting or complaining. It helps to get feelings out in the open.
I just want to take a minute and tell all of you fathers out there, Happy Father's Day. :)
