Forgiveness


I was reminded of this the other day, during my quiet time. Some times we hold grudges against others, but we really shouldn't. It causes undue stress and strife in your life. Not only are we not to hold grudges, but we are also supposed to forgive others, even if we don't think we are at fault. That's is VERY hard, but VERY key to doing God's will. The most obvious example He reminded me of is in the Lord's prayer. "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us". I don't think Jesus would have said that, if it weren't really important. Forgiveness is easy to say, but hard to do. It's about putting others feelings first, instead of your own. Self-sacrifice. I think there are many friendships out there, in this world, that could be mended with a simple,  heart-felt, "I'm sorry." Remember Jesus forgives us EVERY time we mess up. And we mess up a lot. Try it some time, it will ease the pain for the both of you. Take care folks.
