I just spent way too much money on a new baseball glove.  Yes, I am 42 and just bought a new glove.  Not sure why.  I have old beater gloves that I use playing with my sons and when I am coaching.  Just decided to treat myself.  My wife thinks I am crazy.  I am also relacing my original glove from when I was a kid.  It is a beater but I am going to bring it back to life.  I took some before pictures and when I get done, I will share.  Anybody else still have their glove from when they were a kid?

no, but we just bought Erica one! Sean (my husband) has two old ones... maybe from when he was a kid. He took me out once to teach me to throw properly. At one point I could "Throw like a wussy guy." w00t. What are you going to do to break it in? Does shaving cream really work?? I heard that once.

I am like Automan....got them all. Grandfather's, dad's, all mine from playing in HS/college, gloves I bought while coaching, etc. No softball's though. Haven't been able to get to softball yet. Too much baseball in my blood I guess. Still buy new one's every so often. I will only get Nokona's from now on. No break in. Don't have to treat them all the time. Nice soft leather that lasts and lasts. Carry it and 2 balls in my truck all the time. Never know when a game of catch will break out!
