First Blog Entry EVER!

My Clan mates know this about me...

Until now I have kinda kept a low profile, and stayed within my clan. (Well...If you've heard me yell and scream at my gaming ability, it's not really "low profile"....)

Got my daughter a drawing tablet and a sketch program for Christmas...I have been playing around for a few days...actually pulled this from my sketchbook...Until I got this program, I haven't had the urge to pick up a pencil in 20 years...
It's a pretty cool program...different pencils and brushes...all controllable in width and intensity. It mimics airbrushing very well...
I grew up drawing superheroes outta comics...then my own. When I went to college, I picked up airbrushing. entered a few competitions, but it always seemed political. Never really gained anything out of it.
I had some really cool teachers, was pretty confident in the fact that I would be able to get a job as an illustrator. Somewhere along the line, I lost my drive. Got out of college, needed to make money, my brother was running a body shop at the time, needed help, and the rest is ancient history...
I have been on and off again, ever since, but never really put the effort in, that I did when I was young...
I am working on getting the eyes in better proportion. the one on the right is too far out and a bit high...they are a bit different in size, too...the cool thing is I can cut and paste them where I want, with minimal repair work to make it blend in again. If I was airbrushing, I'd either have to start over, or paint the area white, and get back in to it..which never really looks right.

Had this stuck in my head for a while...in anticipation of the new movie...

still have to tighten up the detail layers...( I have to get used to working in layers...actually)
