For those who have been called, I sympathize.  Today was the third time I had been scheduled to report for jury duty.  This was the last time I could be called.  Each time I scheduled time off from work and each time I was called the night before telling me I was not needed.  Except for today.  So, I show up at the court house and sign in and then called into the court room with the others in the jury pool.  Only to have the judge come out of his chambers and tell us that we won't be having a trial because the defendant had fled and jumped bail.

This has been one of the busiest summers that I can recall.  Granted, my short term memory has often failed me before, but I can't remember when, exactly.  I was sent to be retrained in my field of employment last month and I'm now trying to incorporate the new methodology into my assignments.   I spent that whole week mentally exhausted because The Powers that Be (TPTB), changed the rules a bit.  And par for the course, they won't write them down.  Can you say caught between a rock and a hard place?  I can and am learning variations of that phrase.  "Rock" being TPTB and "Hard place" being
