The Forge

This is what consoles need in order to compete with PC FPS. Though user generated maps would be better, modifying the existing maps is a good substitute. UT and HL2 on PC are still superior but I like that consoles are getting close to the same features as PC.

I am finding Halo 3 is ok. Having the ability to play PC FPS titles I am not finding anything about Halo 3 exciting. It's what PCs have done 3 years ago. however, the ease of controls in forge and ease of replay are unique. you can do the replays and modify maps on PC but not as easily and quickly as Halo 3.

Awesome, simply awesome.  I might be one of the few people here who find that article awesome.  I worked at IBM when the whole SCO vs linux/IBM thing started.

Finished Half Life 2

Yep, I know, older game.  But I haven't played it.  When it came out I was unemployed and didn't have a computer that could run it well.  now that it came with the preorder of Orange Box I played through it.  I can not wait to get through Episode 1.  The game is one of the best single player FPS experiences I have ever had.

Woot! 4gigs of memory now

I received all my rebates from my parts purchase and this week I bought 2 more gigs of memory with that.  The cool thing, after rebates this memory will only be $60.  My computer will now have 2gigs of Crucial Ballistix and 2 gigs of Corsair TwinX.  They have the same latency ratings so I should be good.

I got a new router

Well, I got sick of my Netgear WGT634U over heating.  I bought a Linksys WRT54G, unfortunately it's a new version 8 so there isn't anything cool I can do with it.  I have to test the QoS out some night, need to find some big torrents to download along with some ftps (multiple linux dvds should do the trick).

Family Video Roxors!

I walked across the parking lot to family video.  I know I posted earlier about them compared to blockbuster.  Again, they impress me.  i walk in, look for TW 08, didn't see it.  I walk up to the counter and I start to say "How soon will you get..."  just as I see the guy prepping TW 08 for the shelves.  OK, if Family Video can get several games on launch why can't BB?
