Currently one of my favorite songs

Warning: NSFW

I love this song, though it drives my girl nuts when I sing it around her.

Need some help with Windows XP and video folder issues.

Arrghh! For some reason I have been having lock-up issues any time that I try to access the My Videos folder on my comp. Can't say for sure exactly when this started. It may have been after upgrading IE, but not sure. The wierd thing is that my 360 has only been able to view about 10% of my videos over Media Connect and this was only after the latest 360 update. I am running Windows XP Home Ed, SP2 -Version 2002. I have all my data files (picts, games, videos, docs, etc.) on a second hard drive and keep my active programs and Widows on the Main C Drive.

And Back to the Water . . . .

Here is a pic of one of my kayak surf buddies riding a sick right in Cali this winter. Do NOT try this at home!

Failure to Launch (and NO, not in THAT manner)

I went to go check out Arisia today (apparently "name Arisia was suggested, that being the name of a planet from the "Lensman" books - whatever the Lensman books are???) only to find out that the Boston Sci-Fi Convention (aka Arisia: see previous blog for more details) has been sold out for some time. Funny how their website did not mention this little fact. So now I am even more curious than ever about this little convention. Supposedly there will be extra "memberships" available on Sunday, which normally has lower attendance.

Tomorrow I go undercover!

Well, tomorrow is a big day indeed. The Boston Science Fictiion and Fantasy convention (also known as ARISIA, why I don't know) is being held this weekend and I am going to check it out and see if I can infiltrate the Brotherhood of the Geek. Now, don't get me wrong, I love Sci-Fi and Fantasy, always have. But the folks that show up at these events are, er, a bit different let's say. So not having been to one of these things since my ComicCon days in the 80's, I am not sure what to expect.

Long days lead to less blogging

So I had a very long meeting that went from 2 pm until well after 5pm. When we wrapped up, I went out for a few barely and hopps specials with some co-workers and trundled on home after 7. This type of schedule leads to a certain lack of motivation when it comes to my blogging escapades, so I simply give you Nygel, my boy, and one of his friends. Say hello Nygel (he's the big one).
