Last night we finally shut the server down and got to the maintenance I discussed this week.  The server is now running with another 2 gigs of beefy RAM.  It should, in theory, be running a lot faster so I hope it's noticeable to you all.  For me, Im seeing at least 2 seconds cut of the page generation for the forums which is much better then I expected.  Thanks again for your patience and hopefully with latest upgrade will be enough to hold off the masses for another couple months or so.

Most of you will not even notice it, but the site will be going offline for about 20-30min depending on the hardware install. Once again the server needs to be upgraded in order to handle all of you members and make sure it can still run at a halfway acceptable speed. The downtime should start at around 11pm Central so most of you should be in bed anyway.

So today I will not be taking any PM's, Emails, or fixing the site in any way.  Why?  Because right now I'm downloading at 5.2k. How fast is that?  Well, its about as slow as less then a third of a dial up modem.  In fact its been like this for 3 days.  Lucky for me a tech from Comcast finally showed up today around noon.  All is well right?  Actually no.  This lazy fuck showed up about 2 hours late.  Came into the condo and said to me,  "Ok lets hurry this Im tired and dont feel like being here."  Are you fucking serious?  ITS YOUR FUCKING JOB.  Have some respect.

Some of you may not see it, but if you clear out your browsers cache and reload the site, you will now see blog stats as apart of the main navigation.  We took out the Xbox Zone area and placed all those links into the Community area so dont worry about losing any access.  Its all there just in a better location.  The Xbox Zone was never really something that should have been made a main nav area anyway so no harm no foul.

So Im pretty much done with the clan pages (at least the first stage of them) and I'm going to need 1 or 2 clans to try it on.  Remember, the software will MORE then likely suck, not work, suck, and not work some more.  I just need people to take a look at things to make sure the permissions work and the right people are allow to do the right things.  We wouldn't want one clan being able to write news for another now would we.

So I went through the wiki a bit more and tweak the look so that pages will behave just like news posts in the look and formatting. This should make things easier for people posting to the wiki once I have the blog editor up and running. As an example you can see how a finished Wiki page looks by checking out my newly submitted Getting Started page. It looks like a basic news page now and I hope it makes things easy to read in follow once we get the editor online.
