Packing for E3

What does someone bring on the trip to E3?

Im sitting in my room trying to think of all the things that I am going to need for this long drive out to the West. ;; 34 hours of road means a lot of supplies for a traveling gamer.  So far I got.

  1. PSP
  2. Nintendo DS
  3. Laptop
  4. Books on Tape
  5. Ipod
  6. 4 2o2p shirts (totally forgot to order more)
  7. Notepad
  8. Cameras

Just dont know what else I need.  Plus the video camera is at Knaabis house and I have no way of getting out there to grab it!  I really wanted to film everything, but maybe this is gods way of saying SUCK IT.   Well, we leave on Saturday so if anyone has any ideas let me know.  I would hate to forget something important that could help me get more news to you guys.

If you dont have your video cam at least pick up a couple of disposable digitals.

Ah yes, I have 2 digital cameras, I just forgot to put them in with all the stuff. Thanks!

Do you have any type of voice recorder so that you can do a live commentary for the podcast? Also, dont forget a cooler and munchies. And some killer road tunes.

-chargers/cords for all your electrical stuff -headphones for PSP DS etc -cell phone -microphone for impromptu interviews -extra batteries -connector for ipod to car -the fucking map -phone numbers for 2o2pers -pen (for taking notes) -one of those little handheld voice recorders -bottle opener -double check your spare tire -pain reliever -xbox / xbox 360 if room -snacks -condoms -lube -caffeine pills or beverage -pistol (for when you get tired of looking at cornfields in Kansas) -marker (for signing autographs) -printouts of 2o2p magazine (leave one in MSs blogging bus) -CDs pressed with copies of the podcast -2o2p business cards That should cover it. Water, Gatorade (bottles are great for urine when you dont want to stop) king size flask full of the whiskey of your choice. Maybe some herbage heck just take the list from Hunter S Thompson in Fear and loathing and you have a good start.

DAMN KING YOU OWN. Ill get those podcasts ASAP since I think that is a great idea. Wish I would have remembered to get more freaking shirts pressed. Im off to best buy now to purchase a voice recorder. woots!

I dont see a crate of Jack anywhere on here. Youve gotta have a crate of Jack!!!! Oh yeah, it sucks that you dont have a DV cam to record stuff. I was looking forward to a videocast, that would have been cool. Enjoy and send back lots of piccies, and DONT FORGET JACK!!!!!!

uh...doesnt the ipod have a voice recorder built into it.. Not sure I dont have one but I thought I heard it did.

lb, depends on the ipod. Nanos dont have one. There is a set of pins on the dock connector for a mic. Works with most models except nano and micro I think. not sure what Doodi has.

I got a really old G3 version. Ebola just said he has a mini disc one. So we can take that. Also, I think Knaabi is coming down tonight to drop off a Vid Cam. Woohoo!

Ill have my cam doodi. I can load it to you for the event or be your on-site camera man. Ill also be taking my laptop (for updates to post to the site) and my canon digital rebel. If you need anything let me know. btw, I need your number again. I threw it away thinking it was the hotels number after I made my reservation and printed my confirmation. Such a tool...
