Maeve the Buxom

She is dead now.

I killed her.

Dead.

I had been holding off on my first kill until I found the perfect victim.    She gave me this quest to find a family heirloom.    This involved chasing down her estranged husband who was hiding out in a nearby fort.     Taking him out was no simple task as two of his buddies jumped into the fray.    The heirloom she was talking about ended up being this kickass mace that gave shock damage as well as caused weakness to shock.    1-2 punch.    It was listed in my inventory as being worth 1500 gil and having 0 weight.

I took it back to her and she was all like, "Thanks, heres 300 gil for your time."    I look around and it was just me and her in her little cottage outside of the city.    "I dont think so, bitch"    Reload.    "I found that mace you sent me after."    BOOOOM!    CRASH!    WHAM!    She tried to fight back by picking up the warhammer that was hanging on the wall, but she was no match for my fierceness.    I laughed gleefully as she succumbed to my attack.

I was a little tuckered out after all that work, so I took a quick nap in her bed.    Some creep was hovering over me when I woke up.    He invited me to join the Dark Brotherhood and tasked me to "take care" of Rufio at the Inn of Ill Omen.    I had thought that Hook had killed Rufio years ago, but I guess he managed to survive.   Good kid.    A little brash, but he had a lot of potential.    "Looky, looky.    Ive got Hooky."    Whatever.    I cant be bothered getting involved with the DB just yet.    The Gray Fox has an important errand for me that I need to take care of first.

I chose to play the good guy who doesnt mind offing a buxom wench when the door is closed and nobodys lookin.. had to do the old run in, off one guy, run like hell back out and across the countryside tactic to beat all three, as i was level 7 at the time and also a split class(figher/mage) and therefore completely ineffectual in either class. Also, turns out killing the right person behind closed doors can net you a corpse of infinite gold...

So did you get to keep the mace?

Hells yeah! After I killed her, I got a notice from the game that this quest could no longer be completed and it was taken off my list. The mace is mine but I cant seem to drop it as it says it is still a quest item. Probably cant sell it, either. As it has no weight to it, there is no penalty for me carrying it around wherever I may roam.

I have about an 80 rank in sneak and high agility as well. So, I walked up on two of them without them noticing me. I hit the first guy in the back with a glass dagger for 6x damage and then get him once more real quick before he turns around for 6x damage again. So, he was dead before he could pull out his sword. The guy he was talking to was the husband with the mace. He starts wailing on me and my health starts going down real quick. I backed out of the room and drew out my Glass Bow of Ownage that hits for -20 health and started plucking him with arrows. The third guy who must have been in the bathroom when I attacked pops up to the side of me and starts shooting arrows at me. I popped into the menu and drank a few health potions and then finished off the husband with the mace. The archer took off running like a sissy and I had to go chase him down. I then drenched a few arrows with fire damage poison and took him out from the shadows.
