New Releases: Week of January 5, 2015

It's 2015! It's start of another new year and the somber end of the holiday season. Sadly, for us gamers, that means the winter drought has begun. There is hope on the horizon, depending on your tastes and/or platform over the next few weeks and months, but here are a couple tips if you are in dire need of a gaming fix:

 1) If you are like me then you likely have backlog of games you never finished or always intended to play but never did! Time to get at ‘em folks!

 2) There are always specials going on on Steam. If you missed their holiday sales your wallet probably thanks you but if you are anything like me you probably already have a Library of 60+ games of which you have played 10 or so. Get at those Steam achievements and Raptr points!

 3) Bring out the card and board games! Played Cards against Humanity with Mrs. Soups family over the holidays. We censored a couple cards but still had an awesome time. Anyone ever play Catan? It is an excellent 4 player game. If you have a love/hate relationship with Monopoly then I highly recommend it.

 4) If you have any other suggestions on how to survive the post-holiday game doldrums let everyone know in the comments

Already released on PS4, Xbox One and Steam, Chariot, by Firma Originals, is coming out for WiiU this week. If you need a good couch co-op game then give Chariot a try. That being said if you play with someone who likes to do their own thing you could be in for a world of thrown and/or broken controllers as Chariot requires a lot of teamwork.
